The youngest doggo seems to have broken a back nail all the way to the skin.. and judging by the screaming is not a fan of us, trying to touch it at all. So she’s at the vets this morning.. I’m guessing sedation is very likely unless they like screams? Poor lulu.

I’m a horribly lazy diabetic. As my A1c is usually rock solid at 5.8-6.2 over the past 20 years I never check my sugars. On a whim I’m wearing a cgm (was a sample from a doctor) and it’s a revelation how my levels swing despite keeping an overall solid average.

For no particular reason I've avoided listening to @billystrings.com but learning his new album was in memory of his momma.. I have it a listen. Some 20+ listens later I'm at least a fan of this album. I hope the recording of it eased his mind as it seems to do mine with each new listen.

Right around 2018 I went on a WW1 book binge, ultimately reading dozens of books.. none of them made me feel as viscerally aware of the horrors of the war on the young men involved.. as has “In Memoriam” by Alice Winn. It’s a love story and just a brutally honest look at war.. I’m gobsmacked by it.
