This is evil and awful and trans people everywhere deserve better than what's happening right now. And I think it's impossible to overtstate the pivotal role that JK Rowling played in mainstreaming hateful and false ideas about trans people. Every dollar you give her goes toward efforts like this.

Don't think this ever made it to bsky so here's Johnnie demonstrating a not recommended (but relatable) way to respond to current US politics 🎨 #fanart #LordHuron

Digital illustration of Johnnie Redmayne, a young man with brown skin, black hair, a black jacket and a red shirt. His head is tipped back with his mouth wide open to chug from a bottle he is holding in his hand, full of golden brown liquid (it's beer ok he's underage drinking don't worry about it)

You GUYS I got the cutest keychain from @itz-flameteeth.bsky.social of Buck trying to have a smoke only for the ghost of Johnnie to arrive because he wants to bum one for himself LMFAO I love #LordHuron fans and fanmade merch so much!

Photo of the front side of the keychain, a cartoony representation of Buck Vernon looking a little grumpy perhaps with a hand to his head and a cigarette. A plume of curly smoke rises from it.

Reverse side, Buck now looks shocked as Johnnie Redmayne takes form as a ghost in the smoke, hand reaching and mouth open as he asks if he can get a cigarette too

It is perfectly legal to know your rights and to educate others about them, too. EVERYONE in the United States, citizen or not, has rights. I will not allow this administration to intimidate us from helping you know about them. Here’s our shareable guide ⬇️: (pt. 1/2)

KNOW YOUR
RIGHTS
IN CASE OF ICE:
CONOCE TUS DERECHOS
EN CASO DE ENCUENTRO CON ICE:

DO NOT OPEN YOUR DOOR.
ICE cannot enter your home without a warrant signed by a judge.
Tell the agents to show you the warrant by sliding it under the door.
NO ABRAS TU PUERTA.
ICE no puede entrar a tu casa sin una orden firmada por un juez. Diles a los agentes que te muestren la orden deslizándola debajo de la puerta.

ASK THEM
TO LEAVE.
If ICE doesn't have a warrant, tell them you do not consent for them to enter your home and ask them to leave. At work, ICE cannot enter employee-only areas without permission.
2

REMAIN SILENT.
You have the right to remain silent.
If the agents ask you questions, tell them,
"I wish to remain silent."
PERMANECE EN SILENCIO.
Tienes derecho a permanecer en silencio.
Si los agentes te hacen preguntas, diles:
"Deseo permanecer en silencio".

Political neutrality is a fundamentally political stance, and a fundamentally conservative one, because it means you think nothing about the sociopolitical environment in which you exist needs to be interrogated, challenged, or changed.

Cinema, like all art, is inherently political. Not choosing a side might seem apolitical, but it’s not. It’s just cowardly. Stand by the fans being hurt by the current administration, and your talent that is vocal about it, rather than turning a blind eye “As long as they’re a decent human being” 🙄

I know people mean well by sharing that "your validity is not dictated by an executive order" post, but it's not about validity. No one needs anyone's permission to be "valid," but trans folks need legal protection, healthcare, and access to resources like healthcare.

Part 1 of a little ongoing personal #LordHuron #fanart project of mine. World Enders! Lots of them! Portraits, headcanon details, bits of fun info. This set are all canon characters, though plenty of the details aren't themselves canon - gotta fill in those gaps in our info! 🎨

A grid layout of nine illustrations with text captions for each one. Each one is one of the World Enders or associated character. Top to bottom, left to right, are Alex Redmayne, Dale Redmayne, Johnnie Redmayne, "Penny Clicks" St. Claire, "Cid", Rigo Sandoval, "Lady Moonbeam", The World Ender, and Charlie Powell.

I don’t have much to say that hasn’t already been said and the last few years have taught me that processing on social media isn’t as good for my mental health as it feels in the moment. Please don’t take my silence for apathy, but I too am heartbroken and exhausted
