indie film men need to stop talking about "labor of love" as a way to justify paying collaborators nothing but sandwiches. instead say: "this is a horrible situation i've been put in. i'm ashamed this is how the industry works, and it shouldn't be this way."

can someone explain to me how '1 night only' is being advertised as a light hearted rom com as opposed to radical right wing dystopian speculative fiction nightmare - people can only have sex 1 night of the year? wtf why am i being gaslit by this trailer?

i just did my first vo audition in years, and the entire time i'm telling myself, "i suck" "this sucks" "i hate all of this" - but i'm done and i submitted it. i have to ignore the negative voices within my own head to get anything done - and now that i did it- i feel insanely confident
