A barred spiral galaxy featuring a prominent central bar or bridge of stars that channels gas toward its core. Chandra X-rays (purple) highlight growing black holes along the bar and core, merged with Hubble optical light (white, yellow and soft blue) and JWST infrared dust filaments (red). Studying barred spirals in action can help reveal how gas in our own Milky Way, which is also a barred spiral, feeds its central black hole and forms new stars.

Question for artists who do #commissions - What platform do yall like to use for your transactions? The way I’ve done commission work so far is thru PM’s on various social media platforms and then via email/paypal. Which works fine, but I’m curious about what other options are out there.

Always encourage beginner artists! It will help them keep going, their love for art growing, and maybe one day you’ll see them again, making art for your favorite piece of media, teaching others art, or making people smile with their work. :)

QRP with your most popular piece on bsky ~ It’s a tie between two Artfight attacks. One I did for @elerryn.bsky.social from this year and the other I did for @deamond.bsky.social from last year

An older firbolg woman takes a break by the river, sitting on her favorite rock and dipping her feet into the water. The scene is set in the day time surrounded by trees, though the light is speckled due to an unseen overcast sky.

An ethereal winged psychopomp takes a step on the surface of a lake on his way to a destination unknown. The scene is set late where the colors of night shine in the sky.

It's not enough to be against AI, you need to be pro art. You need to be a champion of the art you love, you need to share that passion and joy, and do what you can to support the artists who make it, because it's not enough to hate AI, to hate what it's doing to art and media; you gotta love.
