The OoT remake art style was going to be controversial no matter what they did, but I like it. The only flaw for me, is I think young Link looks a little too baby-faced. And for what it’s worth, the original game is accessible on the console anyway, so no big deal in my opinion. #ZeldaDirect

I think Amazon’s closed captions also has it incorrect, which isn’t terribly uncommon. Lyrics aren’t shared with the captions team in advance so they just gotta do their best. It happened on Ninja Kamui’s opening too.

Seen so many people get The Ghost In The Shell ending’s lyrics wrong. So tired of people saying “Blue like the fucking clues.” It’s “Blue like the particles”. Here are the official lyrics from the single from Sony to Apple Music.

Watching Space Dandy cry over my Blu-ray software of choice being deprecated. The developer has basically already stated that (as of now) they’re not going to change all the protocols to be Apple Silicon native. Assuming I upgrade (I probably won’t, TBH) I’d have to rely on VLC moving forward.

Honestly, if they just brought the PS4 and Switch ports stateside, I'd be happy. It's great especially on Switch, it's a fun little game to get engrossed with and put down when you need to do stuff.

Remember how HDR via HDMI (and honestly HDMI output in general) is broken on Steam Machine? Weirdly, it’s completely correct using the Decky Sunshine plugin and streaming the Steam Machine to my Xbox Series X on my upstairs TV. Valve really needs to fix HDMI on the Steam Machine.

It's a lot of fun seeing the new Ghost In The Shell adaptation go through the manga while also going back through the older adaptations. This week's episode is the storyline Ghost In The Shell 2: Innocence is based off of, and as you can tell, they're quite different in style.

This is the closest I’ve ever gotten to “Double 0” in Densha De Go!

That’s not scary to see on a console. I know it’s nothing bad, it’s dependencies for GoG/New Vegas being installed.

Oh and no, turning off HDR doesn’t fix things. SDR has a weird brown tint that looks worse. I think the driver is broken or something? Literally nothing else hooked up to my TV has these SDR/HDR issues, so I hope Valve fixes it.

First impressions of Steam Machine: HDR is broken AF. They need their own Auto-HDR and tone-mapping settings. It’s most notable when you look at poster art. It’s just entirely blown out. And there’s no setting like on Switch to only turn on HDR for compatible software. Hopefully they fix this.

Bit of a convoluted set-up but I’m having the Steam Machine wired through my Mac Mini’s Internet Sharing via USB so I can finally hook my Mac Mini back-up as an HTPC. “Couldn’t you just use the Steam Machine be an HTPC too?” I don’t want to.

I think one of the worst things about the potential death of physical media in gaming that I haven’t seen talked about is the return of region locked games. I think it was so cool that in the Switch/PS4 gen, you could just import a game and play it with no issues without changing accounts.

Nintendo Switch boxes for Densha De Go and Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack. Both never made their way to the US. Corpse Party is fully translated in English.
