A while back I had a spark of an idea after @jessplayin.bsky.social and I went back and forth about our love of SEGA in our childhoods. I lamented on her Discord about never getting around to making it and was told simply, "Do it!"
So I did, and it was fun.
I dunno man, I just like making stuff.

I want to start by sincerely thanking you for the exceptional work you've done. Your professionalism, speed and attention to detail have consistently delivered outstanding results and you've been a pleasure to work with throughout our time collaborating.
That said I've had to make some difficult decisions regarding my budget and overall strategy. After a thorough review I've concluded that I can no longer justify the cost of continuing with development services at your rate despite the high quality of your work.
With the rapid advancements in AI I've found that I can now achieve the same level of quality, precision, and efficiency for a fraction of the cost. Given my current priorities and financial goals this shift is not only practical but necessary.
To be clear, this decision is not a reflection of your performance in any way. You've consistently delivered excellent work. However the cost-to-value ratio offered by AI has reached a point where it no longer makes financial sense for me to continue using traditional development services at the rate you're charging me.
I appreciate all that you've contributed and the professionalism you've shown and I'm wishing you continues success in your future endeavors. Maybe if your rates ever come down a reasonable amount that more properly aligns with the current market we live in we can work again in the future.
