DESIGN vs VTUBER MODEL I'm still in love with how close it is and that we mixed two artworks for the outfit. I'm excited for the future! 👀 🎨 @argovelaart.bsky.social (left)

Full body drawing of Miluigwanath, aka VirvaValkea, a fungal infested elf with long wavy hair. He wears a Corporate goth suit, with a long coat, and a a mesh shirt with a floral/fungi tie pattern. His left hand is tucked into his suit pants and hyphae smiles confidently. Fungal and lichen growths cover hyphaes hands and neck. An oyster mushroom replaces his right eye, and mycena and fly agaric fungi grow from hyphaes head.

Apparently the UK bird population is now the lowest ever on record. How genuinely upsetting ):

We do!! Sadly our bird population has fallen by the millions over the last few decades though. I'm very grateful they chose to have a little sit in my garden so I could admire them 😊😊

Eeeeee isn't it! I'm so used to watching them hunt from a distance, it's amazing getting to see one like this 🥰🥰

Softer art too. Try something different. I was "Argo" when I started art online but I've moved on from that now. I'd like this page to reflect that change.

😁 Thank you, I think it feels like a good time to do it for me. Aha, if it doesn't bother you anymore and you've made it your own stick with it 😁😁

I kinda wanna rebrand my page? I always come back round to wanting to separate myself from "Argo", and I *think* I've come up with a way to do that... I may work towards that for a goal for the new year (:

Khamsin spends the first half of the book wearing clothing picked for her--first regal, then a disguise. But she is not a princess, nor is she a fugitive. That's what others want her to be. What she is is a proud Zagnati bellatrice, and her true outfit of choice reflects it. #LGBTQWriteAThon

But Khamsin isn't listening. She picks up the helmet, first, runs her fingers over the chitinwork—nothing fine, nothing sanded, only the material's natural lines, hollowed, treated, hardened. The crown of the skewer-moth, a saucer-shaped piece of carapace lined with slits that once housed the creature's many tongues—now an armored sun-hat. The thorax piece of a burrower fashioned into a pauldron, its long wings into a cape. Bracers from the hollowed-out leg segments of a stalk-hound alpha, overlapping vigilant plates in a skirt over the legs, adornments of bone and silk and sinew.

A raider's regalia.

"It's glorious," Khamsin says.

The piece of quilted armor Sahira bought her is there, too, as is the dagger, and yes, the gara—its steel polished and sharpened, its curved blade thirsty.

A piece of character art by ArgoVela (@argovelaart.bsky.social) depicting two figures. To the right is Khamsin, a very tall and powerfully built woman with beige skin, short blonde hair, and covered in scars. She carries a large curved blade on her back and wears a sun hat-like helmet and a pauldron made of bug parts and decorated with gossamer wings. She towers well above the other figure, and is shielding her from the wind with her cloak while watching her protectively.

To the left is, Sahira, an averagely-sized human, who s walking carefully in the shade provided. Her skin is olive and she has dark long hair, dresses in loose clothes in tones of blue and purple, and wears a vast assortment of moon-themed silver jewelry. She seems a little bit embarrassed to be shielded from the wind in such a way, but is doing a good enough job hiding it.

Redpoll for lazyscience on tumblr! Thank you for the #Waymakers donation! 🪶🎨 #SciArt #BirdArt The Waymakers challenge is a race and fundraiser hosted every September by @theyoungcenter.bsky.social to help immigrant kids in the US. Join us again next September!

Illustration of a Redpoll perched delicately on the dead head of a pink flower, part of a cluster growing from below the viewer's perspective. The bird is a small pale finch with a yellow beak and little red crown patch, and brown flank streaking. It looks to be a bright sunny day, which illuminates the spiderwebs strung between the drying twigs.
