What happened to a woman at a frat at the University of Chicago demonstrates the flaw in the argument that men are the protectors. While men cheered on the assault of a woman and eagerly awaited their turn, it was her women friends, not men, who rescued her.

Rong Yuan has video of her coworker, David Xu, poisoning her. He did this for 18 months. He was convicted, but his only punishment was two years of probation. Now that those two years have passed, he asked for the conviction to be expunged. And a judge granted the request. So much for justice.

Dr. Awdish uses this famous painting to explain that all the data—lab values, imaging, vital signs, etc—are not our patients. Our patients are more than that. Dr. Awdish eloquently demonstrates the importance of caring for people beyond their data.

Megyn Kelly criticized Jane Doe at Cornell for taking three weeks to come forward. But Megyn herself took 11 years to come forward about the sexual harassment she experienced. There’s a stark contrast between the grace she seems to think she is owed and how she is treating Jane Doe.

One of the 7 men in Jane Doe’s lawsuit sued Cornell (and lost—they are currently appealing). Here is what his punishment was for “attempted sexual exploitation”—a class and a paper. (Gift link) www.nytimes.com/2026/10/02/n...
The court records filed in John Doe's case show that, after a 12-day evidentiary hearing in which he faced charges of sexual assault and sexual exploitation, he was found responsible for attempted sexual exploitation.
They also show the punishments he received following the decision, including a one-way no-contact order with the woman, a requirement that he take a class about social media use and sexual harassment and an order to write a reflection paper specifically addressing his actions.

The survivor’s own words, according to the transcript from her police interview in 2024: "I can say with 100% confidence I was raped." The DA misrepresented her words and implied she was lying, sending the manosphere after her. As long as he is in charge, she will not get justice.

The DA in Ithaca cares more about defending himself than caring for the Cornell survivor. I am irate—he threw her under the bus to protect his own hide. Now men all over the internet are trying to dox her bc the DA said what happened was “consensual.” (Ppl love to report consensual sex acts, right?)

I hope folks will really take in the data on this slide, including: • 66% of social media users say it's hard to tell true health info from false • False news is 70% more likely to be retweeted than true news, and reaches 1,500 people about six times faster.
Dr. Lincoln stands in front of a slide:

The unfortunate truths
• 66% of social media users say it's hard to tell true health info from false
• False news is 70% more likely to be retweeted than true news, and reaches 1,500 people about six times faster.
• 1 in 5 women reported mistreatment during pregnancy/birth. Nearly 1 in 3 for Black and Hispanic women.
• Average OB-GYN wait time is now 41.8 days, 79% since 2004.
• 35% of US counties are "maternity care deserts," affecting 150,000+ births a year.
• Abortion laws mean OBGYNS are leaving states - ID lost 35% of its OBGYNs.
• January 2026: RFK Jr. unilaterally changed the routine childhood vaccine schedule, bypassing ACIP, after replacing all 17 ACIP members in 2025.

I’m not a pathologist, but here are typical pulmonary findings in drowning: “Typically, copious white, pink, or red froth and fluid exude from the lumen of the sectioned larynx, trachea, and bronchial tubes as well as the cut surfaces of the lung parenchyma” pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC...
significant differences observed between fresh- and saltwater cases (68, 69). With increased postmortem submersion intervals, inclusive of decompositional changes, decreased lung weights along with increased amounts of pleural fluid have been described
(69). As a result of overexpansion with rupture of alveolar capillaries, blotchy areas of hemorrhage (also referred to a Paltauf's spots) may be visible on the pleural surface.
Extravasated blood resulting from alveolar capillary rupture is the likely source of the pink or red-tinged froth noted on
examination. Typically, copious white, pink, or red froth and fluid exude from the lumen
of the sectioned larynx, trachea, and bronchial tubes as well as the cut surfaces of
the lung parenchyma (Image 9). The fluid also may be admixed with aquatic debris (Image 10).

Here is said caption, btw, but people are all over the comments asking if the story is real and explaining the 2002 ruling. The community note says the post is misleading bc it lacks context about the 2002 ruling 🙄
arghavansallesmd (IG)

Judge John Z. Lee in the 7th Circuit ruled Al-generated CSAM is permissible as long as it doesn't depict a real child. This comes out of a case where a man in Wisconsin used gen Al to create and distribute CSAM. He is still facing charges for producing and distributing these images, but the possession charges are the ones that apparently will be dismissed because of this ruling.
The reason for this ruling is based on a case from 1969, which established that people are allowed to have
"obscene" images in their homes, and a case from 2002, which had essentially protected explicit images of fictional children.
Images created by gen Al, of course, are based on real life and real people. Images that involve modifying existing images of real children, eg by changing their outfits, makeup, etc, are still illegal based on this ruling.
But, disturbingly, creating images based on real children out there, as LLMs do, is not. The judge expressed concern for this, and the Supreme Court may at some point revisit this issue. But in the meantime, the ruling allows people to have Al-generated CSAM.
Btw, it's worth noting Elno is still caught up in lawsuits about Grok being used to manipulate images, including those of children. XAl, the company that owns Grok, is now suing people who used Grok to make nonconsensual sexual images. They want these users to have to pay xAl's legal fees. They could have prevented all this by stopping the generation of those images in the first place, but Musk was cheering them on all the while (I have multiple videos about this from early January ICYMI). And now that he is facing consequences, he is, unsurprisingly, trying to blame everyone else for a problem he caused.

"Appeals court delivers unsettling ruling - and says
Supreme Court left it no choice" Fox NewsCommunity note
Written by an Instagram user
This is true, however it is missing context. The judge in this case voiced concerns about the decision, but he also said that he had no choice because a 2002 ruling from the United States Supreme Court, Ashcroft v. Free Speech Coalition, had explicitly made clear that this was permitted if there were no real children involved. This judge does not have the ability to change that ruling, only the Supreme Court could.
