Not long ago, the game was almost finished but I felt it needed a bit more in terms of the variety of art and racetracks. I always try to make games which are a bit unhinged, so who better to contact than Keita Takahashi? He was available to do a bit of work, and I'm very happy with the results!

My biggest regret from my trip to America 10 years ago is that I didn't pay 1 dollar to look at the giant rat

Ten years ago I went to America to get treatment for my RSI, which was brought on by years of crunch at Frontier. However, my health never recovered to anything like its former level, and I wasn't able to go back to my job, hence why I became a tutor and then starting doing indie dev #gamedev

The scenery sprite sheet for Reality Drift is now 16k x 16k. I wonder if that's a problem for some low end systems. Given that most of this will remain empty, I'll look at moving some of the sprites to a separate atlas.

When you get the perfect clip for the trailer and then realise you left debug mode on. No-one's going to be looking in the top right corner of the trailer, surely? (Seriously, they're not, I'm tempted to just use it)

Although most of the tracks in Reality Drift are procedurally generated, I use consistent seeds so that the player can learn them. So it's cool to see a totally unfamiliar track layout while I'm messing with things for testing purposes #gamedev #indiegames

A nine year mystery has been solved. Google Photos groups photos based on who's in them - both people and animals, but in 2017 I noticed that one of the entries was a bizarre looking cat which didn't appear in any of my photos - not even in the album that appeared when I clicked on the cat itself.
