I visited Juliette Georgia, the filming location of Fried Green Tomatoes. The Whistlestop Cafe is a working restaurant with the furniture and layout shown from the movie. The food is excellent. "Secret's in the sauce." A Hipcamp is directly across the tracks. #Hipcamp #RVTravel #RVLiving #Travel

I'm prepping for own more RV trip this season, heading back with my spouse to see our daughter and her girlfriend. I've added a stop she doesn't know about yet. Juliette Georgia. Juliette is the shooting location of the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes," one of her favorite films.

I was forced to cut my trip short due to an emergency at home. I was still able to visit my daughter and her girlfriend in Texas, my sister in Georgia and my mom and her partner in Florida. Great trip with a week cut off of it. #RVtravel #camping #Travel #RVCamping #Hipcamp #KOA

5 days from the first trip of the season. My transcontinental Route 66 trip is on hold for a year. It will now be big stops in Atlanta, Mobile, New Orleans, Conroe, Tx, visiting my daughter. East to Florida. Weeki Wachee, Key West, Fort Lauderdale and St Augustine. Then race home to Virginia.

Due to logistics, time and an uncertain (scary) economy, we've abandoned doing the length of Route 66. We instead will see our daughter and her girlfriend near Houston. It is still good for a few new states and over 3,000 miles. #Travel #RVTravel #RV #camping #RVLife #Traveling #HappyCamper

It's been a while since I posted. I have a new tow vehicle, a GMC Canyon to pull my NoBo. (Now named Tiny Dancer, after the Elton John song.) We're pulled out of the planned Route 66 trip in order to visit my daughter in the Houston area. We might head north after that and casually travel back.

#Route66 is becoming quite the logistical challenge. How to get to it from Virginia, where do I want to join it? Do I want to go the entire way. Do I want to RV camp in California, or do I want to find a storage lot and use motels? (Probably not) And last but not least, how do I want to come back?
