Kuroshio TOKYO Japan lowkey one of my favorite wrestlers right now, at least as far as booking goes, the uptown shows i've been watching have been really fun

000

i'm starting to think ospreay's only gonna have the belt for like 3-6 months (obv this won't be his only reign) and after he loses the title they do the main part of the newman/UE stuff so newman can beat ospreay

100

the callum newman vs. will ospreay feud is still brewing which will be fun for next year on everyone's souls, shun skywalker is going to kill ren narita before the end of the year and take over the house

today's njpw show was fun, i cannot believe i gave 2026 toru yano an A rating on a match but this KOB feud has been really fun

Sera / AresC1 @aresc1.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

it's funny that i consider september to be sort of a "dry month" for me watching wrestling so far but i'm still probably gonna watch 75+ shows this month

000

keeping up the trend of my non-ai stardom match cards, grabbed a stock photo of a beach and made yesterday's korakuen show but without the yucky AI background they use

maybe i'll manage to fit in some chocopro when i can tho

020

Sera / AresC1 @aresc1.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

less than 10 ROH shows to go and i've decided my order for companies will be: 1. Finish ROH 2. UPTOWN 3. Sendai Girls 4. Maple Leaf Pro 5. Marvelous this probably should take me through to the end of october and then probably i'll just have too many active companies to fit in new ones lol

Sera / AresC1 @aresc1.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

i unfortunately don't really *review* anything as i've never been much of a writer, but i love tracking stuff like this! i've considered getting more into writing to do this stuff but i haven't found the time while going through all of the wrestling i do as-is, so adding writing would be. a lot lol

I've been joking with friends for months that I might pass the 6K mark but at this rate i might even pass the 7K. genuinely baffling I can't lie.

My personal ranking of my 8 S+ matches are 1. Oiwa vs. Uemura G1 Final 2. Omega vs. Ospreay 3. Okada vs. Tanahashi 4. Kikuta vs. Kzy 5. Hangman vs. MJF TDM 6. KOB vs. TMDK Sakura Genesis 7. Oiwa vs. ZSJ New Japan Cup 8. Ospreay vs. Strickland FD 2 and 3 have been flipping a lot since the match

100

unfortunately, the 1K senka match streak was broken due to me accidentally lining it up perfectly for Omega vs. Ospreay to be 4,000 on the top from All In today. as said in a different post, i'm catching up on ROH, then going through SenJo, Marvelous, then ChocoPro and then i'll find other stuff

Sera / AresC1 @aresc1.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

Me again. I've now hit 4,000 2026 wrestling matches during the year! As you can see from the two images, a *lot* of stardom, as well as ROH and generally keeping up with all of the other companies I focus on. ill go more indepth in thread below 🤼 #wrestlesky #AEW #NJPW #Stardom #DRAGONGATE

100

after ROH, i think my plan is to watch everything SenJo and Marvelous have up on wrestle universe and then afterwards ChocoPro (all this while trying to keep up as best i can with everything else) I think I might have talked about being on pace for 6k matches but. might be 7k at this point idk

Sera / AresC1 @aresc1.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

so my current "catch-up progress" on wrestling right now is: Fully caught up: AEW, NJPW, Stardom, TJPW <10 shows behind: Dragongate (2 plus 8 unuploaded matches), DDT (2 not including PPV), NOAH (1) my next grind once caught up on above is ROH, which is at May 21st (20 shows to watch)

Sera / AresC1 @aresc1.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

i have now finished the stardom 5 star grand prix (and thus my marathon of all of 2026's stardom that i started on july 1st) what a tournament. if not for the insanely good G1 this year this would be the #1 tournament of 2026 for me here's the other 3 match cards as promised

Sera / AresC1 @aresc1.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

my bad i accidentally sent night 12 twice

5SGP Night 13 (August 15th) for real this time

000

Sera / AresC1 @aresc1.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

a number of people liked my non-ai stardom match card that i posted so here's all of the ones i've made so far for the tournament! someone turns greyscale when they get eliminated (based on my own math) i'll make sure to post the rest of it once i finish the tournament (probably tomorrow)

Sera / AresC1 @aresc1.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

update: watching night 10 now, probably gonna be able to finish the whole tournament by tomorrow night a round robin tournament that uses draws this prominently is nice, i don't see it happen often enough

Sera / AresC1 @aresc1.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

since i watch stuff with friends usually, and am 100% against gen ai, i decided to make my own versions of the match cards with a stock photo of space and renders i could find of the roster that i cut out 1st image is what they have on their site, 2nd is what i made it's not great but it's soulful

A picture of the UI from the Stardom World streaming service, with an image from July 18th's 5STAR Grand Prix, with the match images having AI-generated backgrounds. (ew)

A recreation of the 1st image's match cards that i made myself, using a stock photo of space from 2019, renders of the entire roster taken from Stardom's website (that I manually cut out the white backgrounds from), and put colored filters over for the different blocks or title matches.

Sera / AresC1 @aresc1.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

hell yeah finally caught up to the stardom 5 star grand prix, starting it as i type this post

also when should i expect night 1 of the tournament to come to stardom world, i notice nights 2-8 are on there but not night 1 and on that note when should i generally expect their major PPVs to come over

should hopefully be caught up by then lol i can probably watch 3 months of stardom in 20 more days i watched 4 months in about as long

me too! i have blank copies of the 4 blocks that i grabbed using wayback machine from before the tournament started so i can update the score charts myself as i get through the tournament, just to avoid accidentally seeing something i shouldn't LOL

so two things first, i'm already past the 3.3K mark not even two weeks later second, i checked my 2025 spreadsheet, and i've watched more wrestling so far this year than i did the entirety of last year by over 500 matches and 30 shows i feel like 99% of people would have experienced burnout

Sera / AresC1 @aresc1.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

note about watching stardom but being 3 months behind (currently watching the May 2nd Kochi show) is that I'm very glad I'm good at avoiding spoilers for media because I don't know a single match result from the 5 star grand prix which means I get to experience it fully blind once i get there. yay

Sera / AresC1 @aresc1.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

especially considering DG's rey de parejas is coming up because if they air the tournament matches those are gonna rack up "unique show numbers" so quickly (like an extra 7 on top of what i was already gonna watch)

000

Sera / AresC1 @aresc1.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

it's august 2nd and i've already watched 11 wrestling events this month 2 NJPW, 6 ROH, 2 DDT, and 1 Stardom last month i thought i watched the most wrestling i would watch in a month this year with 89 shows but with what i intend to watch, assuming i watch all of it, i'm hitting 100

dragongate has clowns now and it kinda rules no clue of the longevity of the bit but so far. it works for me

@aaroncommaj.bsky.social don't worry I haven't forgotten what you suggested 2 months ago, though I'm not very well versed on how to find some of that stuff so I'd be fine if you wanted to DM me stuff either on here or discord if you have one (my username is the same there as is here)

4. TJPW (great fun and great matches, especially in the title scenes) 5. NOAH (surprisingly, while I didn't get a great impression from their New Year show, the Heavyweight title and the recent addition of Yuki Iino to the roster and his tag team with Manabu Soya has been really fun. Jōnetsu)

If I were to rank my favorite companies right now, it would go as follows: 1. AEW (having overall just a great year) 2. Dragon Gate (from what I've heard, not their best year, but I'm still amazed from what I've seen) 3. NJPW (still sort of in a transitional period, but things are looking up)

100

I still don't have a goal for how much wrestling I intend to watch this year, but it might end up being 6k instead of the 5k I predicted at the end of May. Current Goals: Catch up on all of 2026's Stardom, then all of 2026 SenJo, 2026 Marvelous, and ROH. Then looking going through recommendations.
