It takes me under 5 minutes to create a thumbnail in Inkscape. Less time than AI would require just to write the prompt. One of AI's costs is the time wasted fucking with it.

I have a History, as they say, with this product line. It would eventually release as Dangerous Journeys, or more properly Mythus, the fantasy end of a planned series of games. It was huge, huge mess. TSR ended up handing a pile of cash to Gary and GDW for the privilege of burying it.

I ran a three-year monthly campaign of it. It has some interesing but deeply-buried ideas and the most time-consuming character creation I have ever endured. Not recommended.

Mine is mild - a reimagining of world generation with provisions for larger-scale structure. I'm something like 40% of the way through the first formal draft, but I've been using it to design my own Traveller setting, the Outer Rim.

You have plenty of agency in Traveller character creation (less so in Classic). What you don't control is how the galaxy treated your character before you began play.
