i tried deadlock recently and besides the stellar character designs i think its biggest achievement is making a moba with actual sauce that doesn't make you wish for death

#ffxivwrite2026 Day 12 - Fusion Ardence tastes real food for the first time in his life. docs.google.com/document/d/1... #ffxivwrite

“Go on, eat it” Elvira said in an uncharacteristically friendly tone. “I did make some for you.”
Ardence glanced away into the campfire, feigning disinterest.
“No, thank you. I'll survive on whatever the sylphs give me.”
Elvira chuckled. “What, one hallucination-inducing fungus that’ll have you dancing off the walls?” She picked the bowl up and offered it to him. “Family recipe, I promise it’s good.”

#ffxivwrite2026 Day 11 - Oblivion Beware a man with nothing left to lose. docs.google.com/document/d/1... #ffxivwrite

One more slash. Ardence cleaved his colossal sword directly through the pale abomination’s neck with a piercing scream, its bright white blood muted by the dark energy coursing out from the blade. With a great push, he sliced cleanly through, severing it in twain as the head squealed its last gods-forsaken breath.
Ardence breathed heavily as his heart pounded, surged by adrenaline. He looked upon his coat to see his whole body soaked in fluorescent fluid - not an uncommon sight, but a rather inconvenient one.
Brushing himself down briefly, he slicked back his soaked hair - beset with either sweat, blood or more likely a mixture of both - feeling the dampness through the gaps in his gauntlets. Sheathed his heavy sword, he took one last deep breath and departed the grisly scene. On to the next unknown, where another horrible beast likely awaited him.

#ffxivwrite2026 Day 10 - Upbraiding Mimisty takes things a little too far. docs.google.com/document/d/1... #ffxivwrite

“Mimisty! What in the seven hells was that!?”
Flint shook the smirking lalafell violently with wide eyes, to little response from the mage.
“You told me to deal with them, and I did. What's the issue?”
“I didn't mean blow them up! You signed my new coat!”
Mimisty cackled straight in the captain’s face. She had almost blown up half the enemy’s airship, possibly resulting in many civilian casualties, and here he was worried about his coat.

#ffxivwrite2026 Day 9 - Boustrophedon Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. To most, it was insanity. To Euphemie, it was just life. docs.google.com/document/d/1... #ffxivwrite

“My offer still stands.”

One step forward, one step back - such was the life that Euphemie Rhoswen had lived for all twenty-nine summers of her life. A hard-won push followed by an uncontrollable pull, a sweet victory succeeded by a crushing loss.

Today, she stood at an impasse. A chance to break the cycle.

She could move forward and carve out a.new life for herself, but she may crash and burn spectacularly and be left with naught but the spear on her back. The thought gnawed at her consciousness as she lay awake, the cold winds of Coerthas wailing at her window. Could it truly be worth the risk…?

#ffxivwrite2026 Day 8 - Strain Sylver feels the cost of power - each time, it takes more and more. docs.google.com/document/d/1... #ffxivwrite

“Drop the sword, elf!”
Sylver froze at the bandit’s command, now backed into a corner and separated from his trusty pocket knife. He was running out of options, but his contingency plan was still ready in case of emergency.
His three pursuers pointed their weapons directly at the elezen, now raising his hands seemingly in surrender.
Sylver spoke softly, remarkably calm despite having nowhere to run. “You don’t want to do this. Trust me”
