And that is what they have done. I was in HK in 2017, then 2023, the stark difference in the streetscape is very noticeable. I know the city changes very quickly, but like you said, feel the unique culture has been turned off. I took this as a record, but is a dying breed in HK streetscape now.

I know it is different context, setting, politics, planning policies etc. but compare it with Wembley in London, same capacity, the redevelopment plan has always been developments around the stadium to maximise real estates, car parks are multi-storey to save space etc.
