This is why curb bumpouts should be built at any crosswalk that is adjacent to a parking area. All of the accessible cross slopes, tactile, & signage wiped out in one fell swoop by an inconsiderate driver breaking a clearly posted law.
A black SUV with tinted front windows ($50-$500 fine) blocking crosswalk ($60 fine) in clearly signed no parking zone ($75 fine) there is a yellow watch for pedestrians sign & a brick single story commercial building in the background. The photo is taken from across the street aligned with the crosswalk parallel to the SUV, it is horizontally oriented (landscape frame).A black SUV blocking a crosswalk ($60 fine) in clearly signed no parking zone ($75 fine) there is a yellow watch for pedestrians sign in the foreground & residential buildings in the background on the opposite side of the street. It’s not even 20 miles if you’re going to the Sanitary & Ship Canal. Which technically starts west of Ashland*. *The new water route started at Damen, parallel to the 2 old streams that ran through marshland & were separated by the continental divide (roughly at Sacramento).
Map of old Chicago Portage routes around the unnavigable streams that nearly touched at the continental divide. The historic Chicago street & canal grid is a grey scale underlay of the map.

Alternate reality Chicago also already relocated the Amtrak & BNSF yards at 14th st. You can see the entry to the tunnel under the south branch in the center right where the new bi-level rolling stock is exiting the incline, & new baseball stadium on the left.

I highly encourage any transit sickos to take a trip to the Edgebrook Metra station to see some new signage typologies we are testing. This is just a sneak peak but I am very pleased with some details & how they will interface with our forthcoming updates to station video boards & the Ventra app.

I must’ve done something wrong because this map makes very little sense. My family influences are from basically everywhere that is east of the Mississippi with a heavy, Philly, Jersey, Connecticut, Upstate & Western New York, Indiana, Chicago, Wisconsin, & a little bit of Texas & Gulf.
A map where red is most likely you & blue is least, where the reddest part of the map is coastal California, with lighter orange shades in the Midwest & east coast, but the title says I am from Illinois, which is correct.

Hehehheh They added a stupid label, but the underlying data is still correct. Eat that insecure idiot in the White House.

WRONG. It is embarrassing that 52% of young men supported Trump, but that was a lower margin than all older generations of men, & youbg women were the least likely to support Trump overall. Stop lying about what generation has enabled this.

Post an album you've listened to 100 times.
The album cover for Andy Shauf’s “Neon Skyline”

It portrays a dark night streetscape from the point of view of a sidewalk, just behind a group of 4 friends who are walking towards a bar with a lit up red sign that says “NEON” vertically on a rectangular portion of the sign, with a script bottom that reads “Skyline” horizontally. The sign lights up the front of the group but you can’t see their faces, it also sheds light on adjacent buildings & parked cars, while a passing taxi has its headlights & its top taxi light on, as it drives down the road in the opposite direction of the group.

For example, after I got home from work on the bus (because I got groceries at my transfer from the L) today, my wife said “can you get x, y, & z from that store near PetSmart before it closes in an hour?” So I went & got all that shit, plus 3 bags of cat litter since I was already in the area.
The 3 bags of cat litter bungeed to the front basket of a cargo bike in front of a Chicago common brick wall.

Not pictured, the other groceries that were bungeed & carabinered to the back of the bike, but I already brought inside.

This isn’t even a qualifying event in the “Carry Shit Olympics”

Yes, email. I believe these signs are meant for a very small section of the path highlighted in red in the image below. Otherwise this safe streets infrastructure is made useless during the most critical times of the year from a street safety standpoint.

Rendering of the new Chicago Fire stadium from the north stand looking south with signage for its corporate sponsor at the midpoint of the roof edge covering each stand. The new Rooks jerseys are amazing. The carnation above the crest on the Women’s Jersey represents their national championship along with the tradition of throwing carnations to the players (at men’s & women’s games) after the final whistle. You can preorder them here getvozzi.com/m/B99ExwV
A poster with the words “design by DP” in small lettering at the top, underneath which is the writing “The Rising Tide” with the first word in a smaller sans serif but the last two words in a stylized Middle Ages style font with a gradient from light blue at the bottom to white at the top with a lens flare between the two words. In the background are photos in a collage that has a dark tint over it, & in the foreground are two players wearing the new jerseys that have a bit of a wavy speckled light blue water pattern in horizontal stripes that wave a little themselves, with solid white stripes in between including the jersey sponsor “acorns” in the center, & the Edgewater Castle logo (crest) in the upper right hand corner of each jersey. The man is standing slightly behind the woman, she is standing on the right side of the poster holding a blue carnation which is pointing to the maroon carnation symbol on the jersey directly above the crest.
