Built in 1870 during a population boom in Hull, St Matthew’s Church served its community for nearly 145 years before closing in 2013. Local housing provider Giroscope has now transformed the former church into a community-led co-working centre. Learn more: ⬇️ ahfund.org.uk/anniversary/... #AHF50

The Florence Institute for Boys (The Florrie) served the community in Dingle, South Liverpool, for almost 100 years before its closure in the 1980s. The building was later saved from disrepair and brought back into use as a community arts & heritage venue. 👇 ahfund.org.uk/anniversary/... #AHF50

Next up, we stepped into Baguley Hall. Having been selected by Historic England to take on the ownership of this Grade I-listed gem, Heritage Trust North West is now exploring options for the future use of this medieval timber-framed hall & is working with local communities to develop its proposals.

🏊‍♀️ On the 2nd day, we visited Grade II*-listed Victoria Baths. These public baths first opened in 1906. After their closure in 1993, the Victoria Baths Trust was established with an aim to repair & maintain the building. Work now continues to restore and bring the building back into public use.
