The resolution was approved by decent UN members calling on UN nations to engage in talks "on reparatory justice…, measures of restitution, compensation, rehabilitation, guarantees of non-repetition and changes to laws, programs and services to address racism and systemic discrimination."

The UK & EU abstained from the #UN non-binding (!) resolution on recognising the trafficking of enslaved Africans as the "gravest crime against humanity”. As if this had nothing to do w/ their #colonial and enslaving history & legacies. The US, Israel and Argentina even voted against it! #slavery

We are targeting (1) quality education, integrating Kalinago knowledge in schools to create a feeling of pride among Kalinago children and understanding and support among non-Kalinago pupils across Dominica. This will work towards social justice and a better, decolonised, national curriculum
