To make this post complete, I will list a few of my firsts and favorites when it comes to Every Time I Die. First ETID song - "Ebolarama" First ETID album - Gutter Phenomenon First ETID show - Vans Warped Tour '06

Radical is an especially unique album because it bridges almost every era of the band with tracks that could fit on most of their older albums (except LNIT and TBPBW). It's fitting that this was the band's last album because it felt like a greatest hits with the best album production to date.

Brasch Bandicoot @arbrasch.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Fourth Era - Low Teens, Radical This era was the culmination of over 20 years of touring, experimenting, and developing musical chops. At this point, the band had become a singular voice in the world of music, blending all of their influences (rock, metal, punk, hardcore) into a heady brew.

Brasch Bandicoot @arbrasch.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

If they pushed any more of the metal influences into their music, they would lose some of their older influences, especially the Southern rock influences.

Brasch Bandicoot @arbrasch.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Third Era - Ex Lives, From Parts Unknown Ex Lives saw the band inject more punk and metal influences into their music than ever before, and FPU saw them push their music to the most extreme it had ever been. As far as albums go, FPU is a no-skip for me, but once again, they had hit another corner.

The Big Dirty has some of my favorite ETID riffs of all time, and New Junk Aesthetic saw ETID refine their formula even further, but it left little room for them to evolve. Where to go from here?

Brasch Bandicoot @arbrasch.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Second Era - Gutter Phenomenon, The Big Dirty, New Junk Aesthetic Gutter Phenomenon saw ETID make a huge shift toward a more rock-oriented sound. Unfortunately, a lot of fans wrote them off after this point, but TBD and NJA proved they didn't abandon their metalcore roots.

Brasch Bandicoot @arbrasch.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

First Era - The Burial Plot Bidding War EP, Last Night In Town, Hot Damn! This era was crucial for establishing their sound. That being said, I have a hard time listening to Burial Plot and Last Night In Town. It wasn't until Hot Damn! that we really see the signature ETID sound emerging.

Rather than trying to do the impossible and rank the entire Every Time I Die discography, I think it makes more sense to talk about their different eras.

Finished Chapter 1 of "Reckoning of the Gods: Dreamwalker." This chapter took me a while to nail down, but it's an integral part of several characters journeys. I'll be posting the chapter shortly, once I make a few tweaks here and there.

Special thanks to Dragon-Studio on Pixabay for his sound effect, "a lone wolf cries."

I started with a basic beat, created the hook, and added the wolf howl. I may post a vocal version someday, but I thought it would be fun to share something that's a little different from my usual sound. In any case, I hope you embrace your inner wolf, no matter how big your pack is.

This is a fun little track that I made for my daughter, Lucy. Lucy had a talent show at school, so she asked me to come up with an original song for her to sing. The song had to be under 2 minutes, and it had to sound like Taylor Swift (her words). allenbrasch.bandcamp.com/track/im-the...

It's fitting that this is my longest track to date because I've been working on "Hunter's Moon" since October 2024. In any case, I want to say a huge thank you to James C. Hoffman for mastering this track and bringing it to life. Also thanks to all of you for listening!

In fact, I had a similar feeling when I was watching Midsommar (where I was really impressed with Florence Pugh's performance) and lo and behold, her career has taken off since then.

Obsession is the most unsettling horror movie I've watched since Hereditary. If you're a horror fan, you need to see this one ASAP. There's so much I want to say about the movie, but I don't want to ruin the experience for anyone, so I'll say this: Inde Navarrette is going places.

I remember riding around in my parent's car tapping out the opening drumbeat over and over. Years later, I started making my own electronic music, and I owe a lot to Stephen Lord for inspiring me with his soundtrack.

I'm listening to the Incoming OST by Stephen Lord and noticing a ton of similarities between this soundtrack and the Metroid Prime OST. This game's soundtrack was especially formative for me because I could play the game disc in my Sony Walkman (aka music player). youtube.com/playlist?lis...

I'm especially glad that we got to see more of Orson Krennic. I thought he was a compelling middle management type of villain, and Andor showed a new side of him.
