You’re no son of mine, Jeff Seeman!! www.foxnews.com/outkick-spor...
Sunday was a bad day for NFL officials and the attention they drew.

In New York, the former son of the league's supervisor of officials was captured on television apparently cursing at Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride.

It might not seem fun siphoning fine particulate matter into a bucket but wait until you see those particles arrange themselves into compact geometric shapes because science.

Really coming into fruition, one of my “Dutch modernist” aquascapes! In time the grassy vallisneria in the back corner should grow much longer and kinda drape over the whole thing a bit, creating a more dappled light effect on the carpets underneath. And the red lily will get bigger.

Was reading a news story about how opioid deaths are down in Knox County and I can’t stop thinking about this man’s incredible logical journey.
Guy on Facebook: “Just because it doesn't make the news doesn't mean its down..Go watch Burger King on merchants..” I reply: “Buddy, the news is that it is down. It is down, and that empirical reality made the news. The fact that people still OD at a Burger King can easily coexist with this other fact.”

I have an aquarium with a surface environment which means every now and then you get to see aquatic creatures briefly leave the water, and I always find it so surreal! Like somebody jumping out of the tv screen. You’re not supposed to be in this plane of existence!

Checked the water table after dark and found a little male platy resting in the shallowest water possible, almost breaking the surface, with its belly on the stone underneath. Seems like a vulnerable place for a fish to be, but it’s very painterly!

I dunno, Whole Foods. If your food really doesn’t have any sodium in it then I’m not sure it’s actually food.
“Sodium” listed as a substance ostensibly not found in the contents of this shopping bag. They surely mean “added sodium” as opposed to “salt,” but I think that is a mostly dubious distinction in this context.A paper Whole Foods shopping bag printed with a long list of common food additives overlaid with the words “it’s what’s not in the bag.”

I’ve found it to be an ideal environment for dwarf Mexican crayfish. Shrimp do well but they instantly disappear forever. The only fish that thrive are hardy, ugly little livebearers. The temperature swings are too big for most.

Why yes I did sneak a Tolkien song lyric into my article in the aquascaping journal also mom I lost my retainer.
The Garden style expands on the Dutch concept of a "street"-a band of plants laid out in forced perspective to suggest a path leading into the distance. The Dutch style takes the concept somewhat literally, often hiding the origin of the street behind a taller species to imply the road goes ever on.

Ice cream shops were built for scooping. You get your scoop, you move your ass down the line, you pay. These increasingly elaborate beverages take forever to make and back up the whole line, which usually doesn’t have much of a spill-over zone. Tell Congress to keep Big Smoothie out of our parlors.
