I have been locked out of my discord all because I wanted to reset my 2FA, and yet still asks for it. Simply making a new account can't cut off losing a decade of access and connections with friends, especially those that don't use social media.

This is a very good point. Hotels charge people thousands of dollars to stay there in an emergency. For many people, there is just nowhere to go. We have seen this with previous hurricanes. We have seen the devastation and loss of human life.
