New publication! Gammal et al. sampled benthic macrofauna, solute fluxes and environmental variables at 3 shallow habitats throughout one year. Results show that the strength of biodiversity-function relationships really depends on which species are present in which habitat and during which season.

1/3 Temperature loggers near @Tvarminne show that the water was exceptionally warm during last winter. Temperatures for February were the highest ever recorded (ave 3.51°C; 3.3°C above the norm of 0.22°C)and March (ave 3.4°C), was only beaten by 1964. Not good records to break...
