Yeah I've been gone from Bluesky I needed to unplug for a bit over the holiday season I think I need to shift my approach to social media - I'll stay informed obviously but like the hyperfocus was too much for me. So expect more funposting because if all you do is fight, you forget why you fight.

It is categorically IMPOSSIBLE for the EHRC to advise that trans inclusion is prohibited. While they have suggested this indirectly in the interim guidance, it was never stated in any draft Codes. Moreover, they cannot now do so again due to ongoing judicial oversight.

They may mockingly refer to it as the “Sumption law”, but it is the law. It is simply not open to the court to declare routine trans inclusion as unlawful. These things are just distractions that stop us from pressuring Labour to change the law.

If there were even a remotely credible argument that trans inclusion could be unlawful, we would have seen it by now. Like yesterday’s now. I’m not aware of any such argument. Even the so-called academic lawyers aren’t making one, so I’m taking that as a crushing defeat of them.

What we’re seeing now is a scorched-earth retreat from the transphobes. As I’ve said before, they have no real path to victory. But we do. The Equality Act can be strengthened in many straightforward ways. They were banking on a single, decisive win. They missed it.
