It really is insane how many timelines the Halloween franchise has. 5 in total, if you count the standalone, separate-from-Michael-Myers third film as a timeline. This franchise is weird lol

A chart showing the timelines of the Halloween franchise.

Thorn Timeline: 1, 2, and 4-6
Anthology “Timeline”: 3
H20 Timeline: 1, 2, H20, Resurrection
Zombie Timeline: Halloween ‘07, Halloween II ‘09
Blumhouse Timeline: Halloween ‘78, Halloween ‘18, Kills, Ends

Important to remember in light of recent events. The amount of people glazing this man just because he’s being arrested is insane. He’s not, nor should he ever have been considered and ally of the Pro-Palestine movement, regardless of what he did with his money.

See the problem with this take is that the important aspect of the feud between the Montagues and Capulets isn’t that they’re two houses both alike in dignity, but that the violence between exists on a scale that utterly eclipses our leads. The tragedy superseding their individuality

Tumblr post by sarafangirlart:
There isn't a piece of media more poorly misinterpreted than Romeo and Juliet. It was about 2 dumb teenagers falling in love but being unable to bc their families are two equally rich and powerful assholes who hate each other for no real reason. It can't be warped into a story of colonizer x colonized, bigot x minority or slave x master. The massive power imbalance misses the point.
#fucking Perseus and Andromeda have more in common with Romeo and Juliet than Neoparasite and Andromache

RIP Hayden Panettiere 🌸🖤 #kingdomhearts #fanart

An illustration of Kairi and Xion from Kingdom Hearts. They lean on each other in a field of flowers that represent them (Kairi's heart piece, and aster flowers for Xion) while their respected keyblades stand beside them. The kingdom hearts moon iconography is drawn right behind them.

I tend to think one of the defining characteristics of this era is that when you scratch the surface of a famous person, you often find something dark and unpleasant, but when you scratched the surface of Sam Neill, it seemed like you found just more decency and delight. Rest in Peace, legend.

@thorgisarcade.bsky.social If you're ever doing another build the roster, why not do it on Blazblue Cross Tag Battle? I feel that was a game with so much wasted potential. While I would've fixed the roster by keeping it to the core advertised, what would you have done?

Randomly: all this shit has happened before, more or less. My MFA thesis project, Turn Out the Stars, looked at the role of labor and corporate greed (among other things) during the transition from silent to sound cinema (1926–1931), focusing on Twin Cities movie theaters and workers.

This is an embarrassing review that glosses over the grotesque racism of this book that presents Indian people as pedophiles who roll around in their own shit. If you see your own fear of immigration reflected in this book, it's probably because you share those same racist assumptions.

Thinking about this quote from Persepolis creator Marjane Satrapi again.

Picture of Marjane Satrapi alongside a quote from her. The quote reads:

The world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we don't know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you.

And our governments are very much the same...

- Marjane Satrapi, Iranian-French graphic novelist
