on the plus side, the spot I was dreading cleaning the most was cleaned for me! because the water was pooled up there the litter and shit or piss outside the box was cleaned for me 😅 I didn't do this on purpose btw. it has put off a very important epoxy pour (cinabun's failed foot print)

the 15 minute eta was not accurate at all. I was not mad at the maintenance worker though! she did nothing wrong and if anything the fact that they don't have anyone working on saturday is the issue. So glad I had vaccuumed and mopped earlier today. aside from the litter in the batrhroom

The water was stopped and wasn't spreading anywhere dangerous so I went to my apartment office with very wet legs. Got an eta (that was not accurate) and also asked about getting confirmation to the rescue that I'm allowed to have a dog. got back and spent 20+minutes using wet towels to remove water

I threw my jacket into the water and then ran to grab the few towels I own. They didn't help much, but I kept wringing them out and putting them back down while calling the emergency line for my apartment; after like 20 minutes on call they couldn't even give me an eta smh

I was soaking the litter box in VERY diluted bleach water in the tub. After about an hour I noticed the water level dropped and turned the tub back on. Forgot I did that fully and only realized it when I got up from my dinning room work area and was splashing around in water 🙃

This is completely unrelated to the fact that I accidentally flooded my apartment earlier today. The flooding was minimal and I noticed with 20 minutes so no damage was done! I did have to call for emergency maintenance to help get the water removed fast enough.

I hope your cat can stabilize soon! also there are services in some areas that can come to you if things don't improve. They do cost more than doing it at the vet but if I ever need them then I would take out loans for it Now that I brought that up, things will likely get better though! (I hope)

Other people have never been able to smell it though 😒 IT IS NOT the same or even close to wet dog smell. That is way different. It also does not smell like the shampoo I used for Cinabun. It is just her natural scent when warm. That is the best and only way I can explain it

It sucks that the shelving unit isn't coming in anytime soon though :/ I did just order new sheets because I want to keep the fitted sheet I'm using now in its current state. The smell of a warm puppy (Cinabun) is very distinct and that is the only reasonable way to save it

I do know that they charged $65 for delivery BUT they are also about an hour away from where I live. So a reasonably delivery fee IMO even though I didn't pay it. Also when I say "she recommended the place" I mean the amazing taxidermy artist who is working on Cinabun.

My mother paid for the ashes to be delivered to me btw. The guy delivering them also knew the name of the taxidermy artist and that she was involved which was surprising tbh. She did recommend the place as the cheapest option but I don't know how much it cost. other places cost $300+

Cinabun's ashes were delivered today which was way earlier than expected. I had assumed that they'd take longer since the taxidermist will take 6-8 weeks for her side of things. I managed to make a joke about the ashed being "only half of her" which isn't fully accurate but is close enough

I know myself very well and know better than to get attached to animals with short life spans. I'll never be able to adopt or foster older animals for that reason. That is the wrong way to do it. You want to add less spices but then encourage people to add more if they think it is needed! that way no one gets too much but the people that like more can add more. I never put paprika on top of deviled eggs for that reason. Let people add it if they want it!

I am keeping my expectations low with rescues but I do want to give them a shot via meeting them first. The issue is that the two dachshund mixes are so far away and I can't drive cars. They are reported as half Australian shepherd. AKA another HORRIBLE MIX I'd never recommend to ANYONE
