👀 Did someone say new trail? AMC is opening a newly realigned section of Falling Waters Trail! After 2 years, thousands of work hours, and a 32-step staircase nicknamed “Megacase,” the new route improves safety and sustainability while preserving waterfall access.

A little paint. A lot of impact. 🧡 This season, AMC Trail Adopters and Volunteer Trails staff logged 3,766 hours, cleared 3,403 drainages, removed 1,834 blowdowns, painted or installed 629 blazes, and so much more to care for the trails we share.

🌿 Tiny greenhouses, big climate question. As alpine summits warm, high-elevation plants have nowhere higher to move. AMC researchers use open-top chambers to mimic rising temperatures and track how these species respond, helping guide future alpine conservation.
