The DSM would probably call it "seasonal affective gender dysphoria" or something.

Oh, are you looking at electric or binchotan charcoal? I'm not sure I would advise either indoors but those are the ones I heard to not instantly lose your security deposit.

Alcohol messes me up too. Word of warning Sucralose also messes with me. (A Large, no Ice, Baja Blast Zero leaves me reaching for Pedialyte in an hour)

Relatable. Yesterday evening I turned down two after-work social events to go home and lay down.

I've recently gotten better at not feeling weird eating alone. My schedule only overlaps with coworkers I know once a week, most other times I go in I eat lunch alone.

Yeah, but also repeated favors aren't useful. I do want some proof of information in the MFA chain, I don't think it needs to be sent over the wire but I do think a PIN is wise to prevent theft of yubikeys from being catestrophic.

> should not follow up by asking for a TOTP like Amazon I fight fire with fire and use a browser extension to auto fill and submit TOTP tokens for Azure and Amazon because I refuse to be compelled into a third factor. (I only do this when passkey+pin is already provided)

That reminds me of the people using phase change pads as CPU thermal compounds.

My condition is being a little baby and I will cry if I get COVID again. (This is not an attack, I'm just being silly. I do plan to get the vaccine)

Oof, I hate them so much. I don't get them nearly as often as I used to but you'll rarely see me go places without Excedrin Migraine, Ibuprofen, and a Triptan in my bag

It hadn't occurred to me that there would be public L2 chargers around. I presumed all of the ones I saw were L3 (DC fast chargers). Upon reflection it makes sense when I think about the equipment cost differential.

110

Apoque @apoque.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

I've heard that many people could even get away with L1 charging. You can get 30-40 miles of range overnight which would be more than enough for me; I have driven more than 30 miles on fewer than 10 occasions this year. (I love BART and usually carpool with friends to inconvenient places)

I remember when I was looking at EVs my short list was Ford Mach-E, Kia EV6 (This was when EV tax credits were a thing though). I liked their semi-automated driving features and Android Auto support. Note for Ford: You can do a one-time payment for BlueCruise only available at time of purchase

Have you talked to a medical professional about your sleep? I was in a very similar situation not that long ago and I highly recommend it.

Honestly, because of modern windows, it probably would save me time. I hate waiting for the start menu to start a web browser and load a react app.

Weight loss is hard. I fully support your personal goals but I am personally fond of your current famine-resistant build.

Google is trying to shove Gemini AI slop into Android Auto too. It's pretty unavoidable in cars for reasons I don't understand. Maybe Apple CarPlay is still pure for the time being but I'm not about to switch to iOS to do that

I hate Reagan so much. Not only did he ignore the AIDS crisis, resulting in the unnecessary deaths of countless people but his economic policies were so garbage that it's easy to spot his administration on most economic charts as the inflection point where things went to shit.

I am confused why people hold opinions like that. If non-citizens didn't have due process, that can claim anyone isn't a citizen, refuse to give them a day in court, which means no one has due process. Either we all have it or none of us do.
