Incarcerated women report rampant sexual abuse by guards and the guards retaliate by spraying them with chemical agents and sending them to the hospital as a warning. Rape culture and brazen misogyny from the highest institution to the lowest.

What about restorative justice for rape victims? Could we talk about that? Maybe we could talk about how getting raped causes trauma responses and mental health crises that you get punished for for the rest of your life, but rapists apparently get to just have a good job and become a better person

I'm deeply uncomfortable with the level of rape apologia shown in this. This article is exactly the kind of thing that makes rape culture work. But he's such a 'good guy', look at him 'make up' for *permanently scarring a life*. This is a much simpler situation than this article wants to face.
