Today's fit, for Columbus Pride and for Origins Game Fair. Just your friendly reminder that I am bisexual and genderqueer, and that you're all loved.

I mean, it certainly started something for me back in the 80s... What's old is new again!

After my thyroid cancer surgery and spinal fusion, my voice has taken a hit. But at least I sound like a cool villain! #DragonAge

Finally had the spinal fusion I've been needing for months on Monday morning. Home on pain meds and in a neck brace. It's not fun, but it's needed. Someone provide some amusement while I'm confined?

General update: While I'll be going back for regular screenings, my ENT confirmed that I'm cancer free and cleared me for the disc replacement I need. Tumor was the size of my first segment of thumb. The incision has healed well, but I'm recovering from a throat infection. Improving!

AP Klosky (he/they) @apklosky.bsky.social · 01/11/2025

Realizing I didn't post anything here... My thyroid surgery on Monday was a success; doc only had to remove half of the gland and the cancer hadn't yet spread to any of my lymph nodes. I'm still home recovering, on lift and mobility restrictions. Incision site looks a mess, but is healing well.

AP Klosky (he/they) @apklosky.bsky.social · 24/09/2025

So, um... some tough health news. When I was rear-ended in March, I ended up slipping a disc (T1-T2). But, while getting imagery for that, they discovered a nodule on my right thyroid. Yup, it's that C-word.

I'm currently on my third playthrough of #DragonAge #Veilguard and I've been trying to get all of my thoughts together on it by writing out an extended critique/review/observations. I'm up to around 14k words and still have significant sections to go. Anyone interested in seeing what I've got?

Lots of new followers! I'm Andy. I'm a freelance writer, editor, and game designer. My biggest solo work is Cold Steel Wardens, but more recently, I've been working on the Arkham Horror IP for Aconyte Books. I'm open for freelancing, if that's what you're looking for. Or, just nerd commentary!

#DragonAge #Veilguard Minimal spoilers, outside of PR releases. So, thoughts on Veilguard. I'm about 20ish hours in (dwarf Shadow Dragon) warrior, and hit level 34 just before Weisshaupt. Veilguard is what DA2 wishes it could have been, given a decent development cycle.

#DragonAge With only 1 month until release, DAV is easily my most hoped game. So, until it releases, I'm going to put out 1 hot take a day on the DA franchise. Feel free to agree, disagree, rant and rave as you see fit!

Whoooo... definitely made a stink over on Dragon Age tiktok. I'm all for a well-written, superbly-acted villain, but suggest that he face a suitably horrible punishment for attempted omnicide, and the torches and pitchforks come out...

Last night, my Ravenloft group wrapped our 4-year campaign in style. Truths were exposed, The Whistling Fiend was cast down, and the Friends of Henri Broussard went their separate ways: One a national hero, two fell from grace, two more cross the Abyss, and the last vanishes into mist and shadow.

Friends! My wife and I will be running events at Origins again this year, on Wednesday and Thursday. I've still got open slots in my Cold Steel Wardens scenarios, especially at the Thurs 12 noon slot. If you're in Columbus next month, I'd love to sling some dice with you!

Starting out the year on hard mode. Just got my MRI results back from my NYE knee injury: full ACL tear and fractures on the tibial plateau. This, a month before my already-scheduled spinal surgery. Plus, the new dishwasher is leaking, and we are dealing with a colony of mice. Wtf, 2024?
