Got our furnace tuned up, ducts cleaned, and the dryer duct blown out...the amount of stuff that came out of the dryer was insane. Last time we did this was only 2 years ago. If you have teens, make sure you do this cleaning, because they are definitely not cleaning the lint trap enough.

I honestly don't understand what changed in me in my late 40s that suddenly has me able to watch horror movies. I spent the bulk of my life avoiding them because I couldn't stop thinking about the disturbing parts in a way that was truly unhealthy. But now it's...not scary?

I didn't mince my words. Alberta's anti-immigration referendum questions are racist. They are also a potential disaster for Alberta's economy. Last night, I rose in the Senate to denounce them - and to thank all the thousands of Albertans fighting against them. Please share. #notothenine #cdnpoli

She also ended up fucking over a lot of Indigenous people. She somehow became THE centre of a lot of Indigenous comic publishing before everything blew up, and so many projects were tainted by what happened, and her rapid exit.

I need a vacation after this surgery. Like, middle-of-nowhere, on an island you can only get to by motorboat type of thing. I don't want to hear any cars, or city noises, and I don't want to see anyone but my family. I want to be able to see the stars because it's so dark out.

Also needs to be awareness raised about how Ukraine has treated the Indigenous peoples, Crimean Tatars and Gagauz, within its borders, which has been to ignore them, until Russia took their territory in the former case, reducing recognition to just a cynical geo-political performance.

Would you do it? Decide to live in poverty? Decide to give up every "luxury" to study and work, thousands of hours, so your children can be second language learners, their kids first language speakers? Homeschool your grandkids for 13 years? Hoping somehow it will work out?
