I want to teach a hands-on class called Designing Inclusive Artificial Intelligence (AI) Agents with a focus on speech interfaces next year. What do you all think MUST be included in the curriculum?

I received an intriguing piece of advice during my Ph.D.—that the discussion to a current paper should be the intro of the next one. While I don't think this works in HCI, I like to write my discussion based on the findings I'm most excited to build on by writing about why that is.
