✅ Increased bike storage. We counted 6 hooks in the passenger cars, and 12 more in the cab/baggage car at the end of the train.

✅ Spacious interiors, wider aisles, and ADA accessible. The mobility lifts were fast and easy to deploy for riders needing help boarding and alighting the train.

✅ Bigger windows and comfy seats. Yes, we believe these seats are just about commensurate to Amfleet and Horizon seats (nothing will compare exactly), and far better than the Midwest Venture Cars.

@amtrakcascades.wsdot.wa.gov has been experiencing record ridership in the post-COVID era! 2025 saw a slight decline from 2024 likely because of equipment shortages, which hopefully will be solved when the new Airo sets arrive. Now we just need to run our beautiful new trains more frequently!
