The heart eyes also *really* sell it. Clearly, she's very passionate about whatever sweet treat she's enjoying!

I'll say yay, especially with grippable handlebars like that. Also, yay to the glasses too. Sapph still looks super cute when she's wearing them.

That has to be bait. There's no way someone argued this and seriously meant it. If they want a system like that, I feel like XIV is not the mmo for them.

You always have the absolute wildest stories in your workplaces, Rix - this dude sounds like an absolute chud. Hopefully, no one was hurt as a result of this.

Same as the antlion in Cutter's Cry vs the antlings n/nw of Black Brush. Has to specifically be the boss mob to count, even if the bestiary shows up as 'Antling'.... On that note, you can also get the Ice Golem from Shiva's adds as opposed to Snowcloak, lol. It's some interesting choices, for sure.

Since the party boat's coming to an end - and I should probably come out of hibernation to say hi, I still exist - I wanted to do something special for it. Thanks for the party boat once again, MFF~

//This. So much of this. All of this. This is reddit gold worthy (or something like that). The people who *explicitly* use the alt letters to bypass it understand their ads are annoying. I've filtered 'Gamba' and 'gamba' (since it's case sensitive, I think), and that seems to work most of the time.

Everyone has the right to love and be loved, regardless of gender. No one can infringe on the ability to express love Something so simple has become complicated in our world Let's all raise our voices to solve this problem and create a world where we can express love freely and openly. we have love♡

Aoi's is usually touching foreheads or things with her tail. She'll wrap her tail around her partner's tail or their waist if they're tailless. Alternatively, she's big into resting her forehead against her partner's for intimacy. She loves being physically close with people she adores.

Aoi and her brother are shockingly good at saving gil and spending it on what matters most to them (supporting friends and gifts for others). Most of the time, they keep large sums of gil with their retainers because pickpockets are plentiful in some parts of Hydaelyn.

Draph Sapph inbound? I'm really glad they decided to go further with Relink after they made sure to say (in no uncertain terms) that it's not a live service game, and they weren't going to be frequently updating it/keeping up with it. Ragnarok updates look really good though. Very excited for it.

It makes me wonder if that's also part of why the e11 boss is what it is. It was manifested from Ryne's fears and how she was "protected" by them both, but it just makes me imagine that she saw Thancred as no different from Ran'jit when he first kidnapped her and it's stuck with her since.

There's something that's just so peak about how she looks and her confidence. Absolutely incredible work, boss!

That said! Being the (playfully) bad player is also good for getting people to lower their guard for many (good (probably, don't quote me on that)) reasons!

Games are best played when everyone's having a good time, I feel. When people are upsetti spaghetti over how things are going, or are getting constantly aggravated/irritated, it isn't enjoyable. No one wants to be the person endlessly complaining.

It's either that, or she'd probably pick up how to play Weiqi from one of the doman regions. Would she be any good at either of those? Probably! She's more cunning than she likes to admit, though she's got no problem playfully "playing bad" if her game partner looks like they're not having fun.

110

Aoi Okeya @aoioki.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

I like to imagine they do. I think I've seen some Doman npcs playing board games, and I have to believe Chess exists somewhere in Ishgard if you got the Black and White knight pieces as enemies in The Vault. I have to imagine that Aoi would be a fan of Othello/Reversi, though.

210

Aoi Okeya @aoioki.bsky.social · 27/06/2026

Not much else has changed about her, though. She's still a capable spearmaiden (and also Samurai), but it never gets brought up in day-to-day convos because it's just... A bit much in my eyes?

000

Aoi Okeya @aoioki.bsky.social · 27/06/2026

The original concept I had in mind was her as a dancer based off Ling from Brave Exvius, but we didn't have Dancer then, so I went with Dragoon based off Reberta, but I could never get the armor down right. But she went from silver hair/silver eyes to blue (natural)/red (dyed) hair and green eyes.

Aoi Okeya @aoioki.bsky.social · 27/06/2026

Oh boy. I could do an actual thread for all of my ocs, lol. I started about 8-9 years ago (3.2), and I think since the first week I've been playing, I've been actively writing lore for the majority of my characters. Aoi was a later addition, coming in at the tail end of HW based off a FFBE design.

110

Aoi Okeya @aoioki.bsky.social · 23/06/2026

//I wouldn't say it's silly. It's valid to have fleeting thoughts of 'They look so happy with their kids', or 'look at what they've accomplished'. Maybe something triggered some thoughts when you heard that their kids were growing up like how you and your friends did together.

010

Aoi Okeya @aoioki.bsky.social · 14/06/2026

I wouldn't say it's snubbed, I think Even with the instants, your spells are just that much quicker (even more so) to help you help whoever's getting flare starred develop a tan. Plus, you get to unironically say 'healers adjust', and that's the best part of leylines.

Now there's multiple ones out there! I think people couldn't consolidate on one or the other for some reason(s), so here we are, lmao. But, it's why I usually keep my characters as vanilla as possible. I'd rather people see what I'm seeing (beyond say void-tainted scales, or no scales on the face).

010

Aoi Okeya @aoioki.bsky.social · 11/06/2026

I think that's why I'm always so 50/50 on the plubbins that let you share your characters. On one hand, super cool to be able to see others how they want to be seen/envisoned. Otoh, there was a weird spike in elitists who said 'syncshell or don't talk to me' (in so many words) in their profiles...

It could have been during the Fanfest reveal of it instead and I'm misremembering, lmao. The Letter from the Producer says "????" for Ultimate Raid. But I swear they said who his VA was when they revealed UMAD ult with the 6-10 second kefka voice clip.

110

Aoi Okeya @aoioki.bsky.social · 03/06/2026

For your sanity: It is his Dissidia VA. They announced it in the live letter a month and some change ago when they were outlining what we're going to get in 7.5~7.56.

//I think it's not so much the idea of win trading as it is the time it takes to do frontlines or the apathy between winning or losing. Some people just don't care when it comes to the results - they just want the participation trophies.

I feel like if they're going for 'flavor of the month', it'd probably be Halmarut. Otherwise, I wouldn't be surprised if they reused Zenos, honestly.

Once a chud, always a chud. It's all about the grift or whatever makes the most money from his dwindling viewer count with his L takes and going 'huhu based' whenever he sees stupid things. But hey, I suppose that's part of the reason why I've heard him called "Assmeinkampf" as of late.
