As a photographer, I usually just want to take photos of something interesting & appealing. But sadly, sometimes I have to document humanity at the peak of our evolution. I don't understand why people can't take their trash home and instead dump it all over the place! #people #humans #city #life

This isn't even that bad, I've seen far worse. Over the last two decades, people have become more and more ok with trashing public spaces especially after an event. And this was such a case. I'm beyond words. We aren't teaching young people or even adults the right things about societal behaviour, or people really just don't give a F these day. Canada is in dire straights, and I'm afraid it's not going to get better.

For this photo I was playing around with the Handheld High Res mode. The image posted is the compressed 1/2 sized version of the original. I'm still considering getting a Full-Frame camera, but for shots like this I'm happy enough with the resolution & detail of the ancient micro four thirds sensor.

Vancouver, BC, Canada. Where dreams come to die. Unless you're filthy rich, you will not enjoy the experience of living here. Some older boomer generation are living well here, though not all, and they will tell you that is there is no better place. But if you ever set foot outside of Canada, you know that's big bold lie old people say to justify a 500sq/ft condo costing over a million dollars.

The reality of Vancouver is simple. If you bring cash. Your cash will be soon gone. I've seen many people come, offload all their money, and leave with a miserable look on their faces. Those who do stick it out, enjoy impossible traffic here. Unlike Toronto, which actually has roads, Vancouver is devoid of any normal road planning and the only transit system it does have, called the Sky Train, moves as slow a tired bicyclist.

Now this was a surprise. An actual clean alleyway. In Vancouver. I was so shocked I had to pinch myself to ensure I wasn't in an actually real developed country outside of Canada for a second. Well, it's the rich area of town, so maybe they started cleaning down here more, as I never recalled such perfection.
