Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor on Switch 2. And loving it! Also grabbed Dicevaders, but I haven’t spent much time with it.

I left good friends behind on Meta platforms. I couldn’t convince anyone to give BlueSky a serious shot. I haven’t made (m)any connections in the time I’ve been here, but I’d like for it to work out. Time will tell.

I just started it. I read “Promises We Meant to Keep” first in case it had foreshadowing of this story.

I read the book in the 80s when I first discovered Stephen King, but I haven’t seen either movie, either. :) What do you think of the series?

Andrew™ @anxovert.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

Not too long, maybe half an hour. It bumped some old reviews back into followers’ feeds, so totally worth it. :)

Andrew™ @anxovert.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

I went back through my last 500 reviews and changed the ratings where applicable. I rate on more than one site, so it wasn’t difficult.

I have no idea. It was on in the afternoon between 4pm and 6pm in a block of kids’ TV. It creeped me out every time it came on.

Had that last night (Sunday night for me). Finally went to be ad 3:30am, then slept through into 2pm today (Monday), so that's my sleep routine shot for the next few days at least. I hope your result was better.

Fleetwood Mac's "Tusk" video. I have no idea why. I've rewatched it as an adult, and there's nothing vaguely disturbing in it. A local TV station used it as filler between programs, so it was on quite frequently back in the day... youtu.be/ATMR5ettHz8?... 🎧

Can’t do this anymore. Social media in 2026 is all performance and promotion. I miss feeling like I belong somewhere. So long. Farewell. Auf Wiedersehen. Goodnight.

Sarah spouts computer jargon like it was plugged into the story to support character backgrounds rather than organically occurring as part of the story. It’s annoying, but not yet a deal-breaker.

He's had such a great day!

Alt-text: A cheerful otter named Steve stands upright with outstretched arms in a simple outdoor setting, surrounded by hand-drawn doodles in an uplifting meme style.

Baked-in text:
- At top: “Steve is feeling fabulous today!”
- To the left of the otter: “Blue sky vibes” (with a small sun doodle)
- Above the otter’s head: “Ahhhh… ♥”
- Near the otter’s torso: “Feeling good inside and out ♥”
- To the right of the otter’s head: “Good day for a Steve :)”
- By the otter’s right paw: “Grateful for the little things ♥”
- At bottom right: “Life’s pretty great ♥”

#NowReading I despise gratuitous bared torsos on book covers, but whatever.

Book cover for Cassie Cole's "The Study Group".

The top portion is dominated by an unnecessarily prominent display of three bare-chested, heavily muscled men posing side by side. The man on the left holds an American football, the man in the middle wears an unbuttoned jacket, and the man on the right wears a cap while flexing.

In the centre, a framed chalkboard displays the title "The Study Group" in stylised handwriting, with the subtitle "A College Reverse Harem Romance" printed in block letters beneath it.
At the bottom, a woman wearing a short plaid skirt, knee-high socks, and high heels sits perched on a small stack of books.

The author name "Cassie Cole" is printed at the very bottom.

Album cover featuring a woman sitting inside a white lifebuoy floating in dark water covered with crinkled plastic wrapping. She wears a vintage style swimsuit and a swim cap decorated with yellow flowers, looking directly at the camera.

Surrounding her in the water are several mannequin figures wearing matching swim caps and swimsuits, floating at various angles.

Text on the upper right side reads "I NEVER LEARNED TO SWIM: JILL SOBULE 1990 - 2000".

I’ve just finished Riley LaShea’s "Behind the Green Curtain" (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️), and I’m dipping in and out of "Dolly on Dolly", edited by Randy L. Schmidt, and "Twisted Sinners", a short story collection from Margot Scott.

The last I saw about it, it was to be set in the 19th century and focus on the first McLeods on the land. I'd prefer to revisit characters from the original series. I guess we'll know soon enough.

I think this is worth sharing as an addendum to my micro-review

A screenshot of two comments in a book discussion. The upper comment is from Andrew and reads:

“Hi Andrew - are you still recommending this book? I see there are lots of reviews and overall good ratings, but you seem to have gone off the story a bit. Cheers!”

It was posted “1 hour ago”.

Below it, Andrew replies:

“I was frustrated by a character whose attitude I didn’t like. I understood the reasons for it, but I thought they were bad reasons that could be overcome. Ultimately, they were, and I was happy with the ending, but the book lost a star for the dissatisfaction I felt along the way.

It’s not my favourite book from this author, but I do think it’s a worthwhile read, and I think it fits our shared interests.”

His reply was posted “5 minutes ago”. Both comments have three-dot menu buttons on the right.

A good, but not great read. I couldn’t shake my dissatisfaction with the protagonist until the end, when secrets are revealed and everything falls into place. Suddenly, her shortcomings made much more sense. Still an entertaining read, and the steamy scenes sure don’t hurt. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌈📚👀 #lesfic 💙📚🌶️

Not an unreasonable choice. We’ve just finished series two of Reacher (and series six of NYPD Blue). I’d seen hype for the new version of A Woman of Substance and saw that the 80s series was available. We’ve seen two of three 90 minute episodes and it’s great. Very much of its time.

An album cover depicting a grassy field under an open sky. In the upper right, a small biplane loops through the air, leaving a white smoke trail shaped like a heart. Bold dark text reads "HOMESPUN" across the right side of the sky. Below, on a raised patch of grass, two tiny figures stand beside a small tree under a stylised cloud.
