What a lot of non sense that Mauritius was industrialised. I am a child of Mauritius. Prior to independent we had nothing. Mostly sugar cane plantation. Yes there were loads of sugar mills. It is now transformed- industrialised, tourism and a major financial hub… the result of independence.
