Pre-dinner cocktail...I mean, I don't know when I'm eating dinner yet, but it's still "pre" at this point 😛

Hit up Izakaya Harumi just a couple blocks from the hotel. A nice meal of sushi and beer 😊

An explanation on why Big Walk isn't available on Xbox. bigwalk.game/xbox

Regarding Xbox

In June 2026 we announced that the release of Big Walk would be limited to computers, Switch 2 and PS5. Since then, we have received many messages and comments, asking about a future Xbox release. We would like to address those questions here:

We have made the decision not to release Big Walk on Xbox, in accordance with the Palestinian-led BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement’s call to boycott Microsoft, and their designation of Microsoft Games (and Xbox) as a priority boycott target. If you need help understanding our motives, we would recommend reading about why Microsoft is a BDS priority target, the successes this kind of pressure has already had on Microsoft, and especially, watching this great introductory piece by People Make Games.

It has always been our intention for Big Walk to be played by groups of friends, and we know that keeping the game off Xbox runs counter to those intentions. This decision means that some people will miss out on playing Big Walk with their friends, and we understand the disappointment we’re causing. We are disappointed too.

We would love for people to be able to play the game on Xbox, but not until Microsoft and/or Xbox have been removed as BDS boycott targets.

We’ve made this decision with the belief that meaningful change can be made in the world, that coordinated collective action can confront even the most powerful interests, and that one day, Palestine will be free.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,
House House

If every trip must have a hiccup, I think forgetting my CPAP is about as big a hiccup as I can have 🤦 Looks like UPS can get it to me in a day or two for ~$150. Big thanks to my mother-in-law for getting it packed up and heading to UPS this morning. Hopefully there isn't any issue 🤞

Got my covid shot yesterday and it is moving my butt today. Here's hoping it's only a day or two of side effects

Alfie would rather not share the sun spot, but he knows he can't be a butt with "mama" and "papa" nearby, so he generally tries to just shove Izzy out of the way instead. Izzy is not giving up the spot though.

Today is my first "true" day of sabbatical as I'd usually be at work by now probably helping put out somebody else's fire. Made a breakfast sandwich, something I haven't really done since the "return to office". Going to do my best to stop thinking about work staying now

@clockworkbyrde.bsky.social and I went to Round1 tonight. Been a while and it looks like the standard cake games are only for plushies now. All figures are in Drop the Box or Conveyor Belt style games now. Still managed to come away with these three ☺️

Took nearly 90 pulls but I finally got all of the construction ships for the current #AzurLane event. Also picked to the PT ship so all that's left is the shop UR and 2 crystals for the META ship if I don't get any more from daily pulls (forgot to screen grab Hostile and Victorious META)

This is going to sound weird but I really needed this today. Been a while since my last gold plaque and my current state of life has been so very stressful, it's nice to have this win 😭

So I guess our washer isn't actually broken, it's just making a louder sound than it used to when the drum spins. The guy said everything is snug in place and it's running smoothly, it's just the bearing making a weird sound now 🙄

Apparently people are sharing this far and wide on social media, which I think is horrible. This could cripple ICE operations. PLEASE do not share this.

And the joys of homeownership keep coming. Finally got the washing machine guy back out to check the odd sounds and it's the bearing of the drum, which he doesn't touch, so warranty so need to send someone else. Also, last night's rain caused a leak above the washer, so I'm getting quotes today.

Morning excitement! Came out to find my driveway blocked by a big ass truck. Eventually called the cops after neighbors couldn't identify it, turns out it was reported stolen! Original owner was able to pick it up (yay!) Total time out of my day: 1.5hrs

Update on the washer. Found the issue right away but, as expected, it's not a part he has on hand. He's hoping to be back on Thursday, but Friday at the latest.

Had our second Daggerheart session last night. Got to role play a little more with my character, Ringo (Katari-Faun Ranger) as our investigation took us to the local hunter's lodge. Apparently bar fights break out there often, and with arrows! 😳

Went to Berkeley for a small local makers fair. Picked up a new "cave" for the cats. Two of the three have spent time in it at this point. We'll see if they let Alfie have a turn.

Well the washer decided to break tonight. Pretty sure it was in the middle of the rinse cycle when we caught it. The sound of running water didn't stop until I turned off the hot water. Call has been put in to home warranty so I expect we'll hear something Monday to set up an appointment.

If I had to guess I'd say it took about 100 pulls to get all of the event ships that were only available via construction. I'm pretty close to the PT ship, which means I'm also close to the event shop ship. #AzurLane #DepthsOfTheAstrarium #EventConstruction
