Spent my afternoon reading a book that had a great premise, only to have to stop 2/3rds of the way through when I realized the protagonist wouldn't become the vengeful badass fae queen the first chapter implied. I caved and got Max in Disney Dreamlight Valley and OMG it was worth it! He's cute. He's helpful. Eric, Ariel, and Ursula all have individual interactions with him. He might be a bit expensive moonstone-wise but they make him more than worth the premium currency.

While I have my complaints about the Sinking City's combat, I will say that it's a sign at how good the rest of the game is that I've persevered and actually gotten good at the combat so I can keep playing the story and side quests. Also helps that some of the enemies are KKK members.
