Don't think I can remember a year when the two lead acting winners are so completely locked in at this stage. The supporting races are anyone's game though. I'd go with Inga Ibsdotter Lilleas and Benico Del Toro personally, I think the Academy will go with Amy Madigan and Stellan Skarsgård...

One thing the next manager/coach definitively needs to be is assertive enough to stamp out the media circus impact within the club. United being bad is too profitable for the broadcasters / YouTubers etc and it creates too much noise. The club used to have a protective bubble, that needs restoring.

thinking about all the time and care put into shooting One Battle After Another and Sinners in niche film formats, and the sheer beauty of the results on projected celluloid. A Netflix-owned Warner Bros will still release movies; I doubt it will release movies like that.

It’s hard to not see the Netflix/WB news as a sort of doomsday scenario. The constant mergers and large scale absorptions of brands might be good for business, in theory, but they are bad for art; they are bad for creators; they are bad for preservation. Which makes it bad for us.
