Mid-morning value sketches. #drawing #marker #sketch

Gray-scale marker drawing of a church along Route 7 in Middlebury, VT. A blocky tower with open cupola stands in the center attached to a church, with its angular roofs hanging above arched entryways basking in sunlight. A thin bed of snow blankets the road and sidewalks in the foreground as an electrical pole rises to the left.

Gray-scale marker drawing of a house behind a large, sun-drenched tree to the right, scarred by crossing shadows of various limbs. The tree's shadow creeps along the snow casting an upright shadow along the facade of the house on the left.

Gray-scale marker drawing of a sidewalk in front of downtown businesses in Middlebury, VT. Storefronts bend along the right side, presenting windows, awnings, signs and flags leading off to the distance where telephone and light poles line the streets.

Gray-scale marker drawing of trees casting dark shadows running slightly uphill on a snowy ground. A large trunk plants itself to the left, revealing shadows from trunks and limbs of trees behind the viewer as the sun rises from the left. Grasses poke out of snow as leafless limbs peak from above the hill crest residing above the horizon.

From my Home series Portraits of family life here on the North Pennines using out of date Fuji instant 4x5 film - documenting life as the children & I navigate their teenage years and life living in the remote countryside.

A black and white photograph of my daughter. The image was taken on a large format camera using out of date instant film - the film has many problems but I also had a problem with light leaks from my bellows - hence the burst of light. The girl is in a prom dress (she was on her way to a makeshift prom as the original one by the school was cancelled several times due to covid) and standing in the garden - there is a hill behind her. Her dress looks like polka dot but is actually full of strawberries. There is a burst of light to the right hand side and a tree encroaching just above.

A black and white photograph of a landscape - there is a fence dividing the image with a tree behind it and slightly to the left. It is a very foggy day and this is reflected in the sky. There is a streak on the image - looks like smoke rising - the is the out of date film where there are problems with the emulsion. The image was taken on a 4x5 camera.

A significant milestone for Exify, and a small contribution to the growing number of services, apps, and devices that support the C2PA standard in an effort to promote digital content transparency and authenticity. #exify #c2pa #contentcredentials #ai
