Sydney Gardens number 2 tunnel. An issue with the roof. On Friday 9th October, vibrations from work to the road above appears to have encouraged several masonry blocks in the arch to attempt escape. Tunnel closed to navigation, towpath closed to horses. Paging @hamishharvey.bsky.social on this...

Sydney Gardens No. 2 Tunnel on the Kennet and Avon Canal: several blocks from the crown of the arch have seen fit to descend somewhat. From the east portal of the (closed) tunnel, it's difficult to see exactly what is immediately above them at this point.

Ramscombe Lane segment is the hardest runclimb segment in Bath. It's the only one where I consider abandoning rather than walking. My second fastest time today. Which would give me top three on the board behind myself.

Misty run around Derriford. Our first house in Plymouth was next door to this - the last Police house we lived in. It was a disruptive time for me - another school switch but then it was stable for secondary school. Dad gave us stability but meant his daily Exeter commute daily after promotion.

It is exceptional. David Warner was a last minute replacement. I met him once, and have a video, at Destination Star Trek he was lovely. Sad to learn at a talk after he had great stage fright so gave up stage work. I wrote a letter to give him the next day but he was only there 1 day.

Bath Artists Studio open day - really chill and some cool stuff. The place is being sold. I think St John's may own it. But there's no replacement. I wish there was. I visited the Torpedo Factory a few years back torpedofactory.org now if something like that could happen in Bath 🤞

Manchester used to be really grim. And I wasn't too keen on Bristol growing up. We had family in both places. Both have improved significantly over the decades. More money going into Manchester than Bristol - unrecognisable now.

Just spotted an interesting Facebook (evil) ad thing. If your screen is not on full brightness it selectively brightens the area of the screen with the ad in. And does it gradually so as to be sneaky, and draw attention. It doesn't show up in a screen recording.
