In June, Vassilis Barkoukis presented our #AntiDop project at the ecssofficial.bsky.social webinar on “New Approaches to Doping Prevention”. His talk on evidence-based serious games highlighted innovative approaches to anti-doping education. ECSS members can access the recording via their account.

Last week, the third in-person #AntiDop project meeting took place in Belgrade, Serbia. We made great progress in finalising our educational materials and planning pilot testing. We also enjoyed Belgrade’s vibe, food, and hospitality. Thanks to the Sports Medicine Association of Serbia for hosting!

This week, the summer semester 2026 started at Leipzig University. This was a wonderful opportunity to inform our students about recent developments in the #AntiDop project.

In February, our partners met in Thessaloniki for the #AntiDop kick-off. In a short video, our project partner, Dr Susana Papadopoulou, outlines the project's objectives. Dr Papadopoulou is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the International Hellenic University.

Doping is a global phenomenon. However, not all athletes violate doping rules by intention. Unintentional violations may be caused by a lack of knowledge, contaminated supplements, or medical treatments.  For example, Nutritional Supplements come in various forms and contain many ingredients. [1/6]
