Finally got around to beating Cynthia today! The absolute MVP of my League challenge was Beautifly, who swept Bertha, Lucian and most of Cynthia while very underleveled by setting up with Quiver Dance against a special attacker. The lesson here is butterfly Pokémon are superior.
The “League Champion! Congratulations!” screen in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond. The trainer name is Dawn, and her team Beautifly, Floatzel, Crobat, Pachirisu, Torterra and Machamp.

A distracted boyfriend meme. The girlfriend, "Pokopia", looks on with disdain as the boyfriend, "Me", is instead checking out "Everyone's least favorite mainline game".

Mystery (partially) solved: the *front-facing* claws came from the Yellow version Pidgeot, twice, with one claw erased on each foot. Note that on the actual Pidgeot sprite I'm pretty sure what I interpreted as the rightmost claw was actually the other foot...

Yesterday I learned that one of my sprites from 2003, this dragon I described in my gallery as "requested" (almost certainly on the PokéMasters forums), is apparently legendary in Italy as a Pokégod, "Luxor", supposedly found in FireRed and LeafGreen: web.archive.org/web/20050128...

The sheer gall of advertising your obvious AI slop website by posting in the comments on another website's catch rate calculator, in response to a person saying it was useful to them, to tell them it's a waste of time worrying about catch rates but they should check our your site for "help"

One of the fascinating things I learn from these e-mails is that there seems to be a separate and higher going rate for gambling links in particular, even on the same website.
E-mail with the subject “A new query about a publication on dragonflycave.com.” The e-mail reads:

Hello,

I would like to publish an article on your website - dragonflycave.com.

Do you have the option of publishing a guest post on your website?

If so, what would be the price of a publication with a gambling link and what is the price for a non-gambling link publication?

Kindly notice we require our links to be do-follow and the articles should not be marked as sponsored.

Note: On the off chance you offer more sites, kindly price them and send.

Waiting for your reply,
Thanks

My incandescent rage every time these e-mails take it as a given that I have a “price per post”

This gentleman has a strategy all laid out for optimizing Mew trick analysis for better visibility. Amazing! Where are they hiding all the other essays they’ve optimized about this specific video game glitch from 1996?

This poor person not only wants but *needs* a guest post on my website, which does not have “posts”, much less guest posts. A tragedy.

A couple more digital paintings based on The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
Tuco Ramirez (Eli Wallach) from the film The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966), looking up at his archenemy Blondie, whom he is trying to hang, with a troubled, hesitant expression."Blondie" (Clint Eastwood) from the film The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966), giving a hard look toward the camera with a cigarillo in his mouth. Around his neck is a loop of barbed wire, with two other strands of barbed wire, tinged with blood, on top of an abstract greenish background.

Been continuing to level up my art courtesy of sudden obsession with a movie.

My current obsession is the 1966 Western The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, which has manifested in me doing a lot of practicing drawing realistic human faces. Here's how that's going.
