The most important environmental documentary I've seen. Congratulations to @abbymartin.bsky.social, who lays out with absolute clarity that the US military is destroying the planetary ecosystem. This is a must see film. earthsgreatestenemy.com

I kinda wish people would stop this relentless hate campaign against Trump himself and start blaming the system that allowed hin to come to power. Yes he's a rapist and worse, a billionaire, but the US political system is a breeding ground for old corrupt white men. Every US president has been one!

He's also against a wealth tax on people hoarding over 1000000000 dollars. Which is absolutely insane and shows you just how much he cares about other people.

Lots of castles and walls and castle walls during my roadtrip through England. York is the only city with a complete city wall still standing, which was a pleasure to walk across. Also, axe throwing in Newcastle was really fun! 🪓🪓

It will also be a bit more politically themed than my earlier books, and the characters even more morally grey. I'm close to deciding on the cover and the title, but alas the editing will still take some time. With a bit of luck, I can publish it before the ninth month is through 🤞

To keep the setting fresh, it will take place several hundred years after the original trilogy, with entirely new characters, more advanced technology, and lots more ✨magic✨.

Hey everyone, today I thought I'd share a quick progress update for my next book 📖! The title is yet to be revealed, but it will be the first book of a planned duology, and set in the same exotic empire as the earlier Ankuan Trilogy.

Well I mean, the police do serve the state and the president. They commit a lot more violence than the Jan 6 protestors, lots of people just don't see that or pretend it doesnt happen just because they mostly beat people of colour. Most cops dont really have my empathy tbh

Well, the US has always been an imperialistic nation built on exploitation of indigenous populations and oil from the middle east, Canada is now only bothered about it now that that theyre being threatened themselves.

Word of the week: Contronym This is a word that means the opposite of itself, depending on the context. Such as dust (to remove/add dust), sanction (approve something or impose a penalty) and overlook (miss something/keep an overview) Not a word I'd ever use, but that makes it no less interesting!

That said, you can definitely make monsters without dndbeyond, with a little bit of research. I had a blast making this, and would definitely recommend trying it out to any author or artist who plays D&D. For me it was definitely worth the time invested. I personally used the website of @dndbeyond to make this, under homebrew monsters. DnDBeyond is the official digital toolset and game companion for D&D where you can create and track your characters, the rules, and any homebrew (self-made) monsters or items.

And now for something completely different (iykyk) I've decided to share something related to one of my other hobbies: Dungeons & Dragons! I've done the #D&DProtagonistChallenge, where I turn the main character of one of my books into a D&D encounter (called a monster, though it can also be a human)

And even swords are like so last year, what if I made like a spear that was also a lantern and a shield at the same timd and could fire an arrow from a hidden compartment and could also be folded up or split to be wielded in two different halves but definitely also realistic 😂😂

Word of the week: Plangent. Definition: (of a sound) loud and resonant, with a mournful tone. One of those words you never use in everyday life and learn from some random book you read. Sounds a bit too much like the word "Pungent" to me though, don't think I'll ever use it 😂

Up next is the Savage Aether by @henryneilsen.bsky.social, which will be my first sci-fi book this year (though still an Indie one, of course😇). It was recently released along with a companion anthology, The Disconnected, both of which were quite successfully Kickstarted, if you want to check it out

I'm now reading The Godsblood Tragedy by @williamjadams3.bsky.social and will also review that eventually. So far it has given me a lot of Dune, Cosmere, and most of all Mortal Engines vibes, and has more sci-fi elements than I'd expected. Oh yes, and (hob)goblins!

Just got through my second indie book of the year, Let Sleeping Gods Lie by @benschenkman.bsky.social, which was a fun story based on indigenous American myths. It was mostly based on legends from the Quinnipiac people (love that name btw!) with a great magic system built around the spirit world.

There might have been democracy in Iran if the CIA hadn't intervened in the 80's. The US has been unofficially at war with Iran like forever (and a lot of other countries). Regardless, I hope the common people are all right!
