Taunya Martin has called for removing Janeese Lewis George from office. She cut the bike spokes of someone who parked their bike in front of her house. She testifies that a bike lane by her house causes drivers to act violently and that the bike lane should therefore be removed.

CM Allen, this should recharge your memory. I guess you and your team
want a fatality to occur on my street, then you will appear on TV stating
how SORRY you are about this incident. When it happens, I plan to help
that family SUE you and the city so spare the apologies. You are
heartless and should be RECALLED. CM Janesse Lewis-George should
be removed from her position as well. She is a horrible Councilmember
for Ward 4 community.

Since 2021, I have been complaining about how District Department
of Transportation (DDOT) did not inform residents about the new
street designs on the (4200-3800 Blk of 5th Street, NW). DDOT,
CM’s, and ANCs voted on this project to install BIKE LANES
which are hardly used. This route provides convenient access to the
downtown area and serves five major hospitals. Cars parked on
these streets have faced everything from sideswipes and collisions to
being destroyed. Damages include broken side mirrors, bent street
signs, and various other forms of destruction. A man was shot
during a road rage incident on the 3900 block of 5th Street, NW, in
July 2025. This individual almost died. This caused me and/or my
neighbors to have concerns and anxiety. My next-door neighbor
moved in September 2025. Even though I brought these issues to the
attention of DC Leaders, DDOT Director Sharon, and CM Lewis-
George and her team, my concerns were overlooked and not
addressed.

7. In 4C07 Lionel Dripps is running against Taunya Martin. Taunya Martin is notorious for her verbal abuse of 4C Commissions and District government staff. Recent lit circulating shows that OANC staff will no longer speak to her on the phone because of her abuse. This is wild:

6. Rounding out 5E races over in 5E01 Commissioner Kyle Gardiner is being challenged by Ana Rodriguez. Rodriguez has stated they are in favor of downzoning their SMD to further restrict housing.

Residents in 5E06 who don't want a Trump supporter like Commissioner Kriby Vining representing them have a much better choice and should vote for Tristan Zoerb @tristan5e06.bsky.social . Tell your friends who live in the yellow area on the map. #FreeDC

Zoerb is straightforward about his pro-housing beliefs: "It's pretty simple. Make the housing supply abudant enough that anyone who wants to live in DC can afford to." His desire to improve road safety and develop the Joe Mamo lot at Florida Avenue and North Capitol Street is similarly, pleasantly uncomplicated. Zoerb deserves your vote.

Zoerb's opponent did not respond to our questionnaire. Notably, however, Vining opposed the redevelopment of the McMillan sand filtration site as long as he possibly could.

Vining's group asking Republicans in Congress to intervene in DC affairs is not surprising, given Vining is a very big Trump MAGA supporter. FEC records show multiple donations to Trump and his committees from Commissioner Kirby Vining.

5. In 5E06 Tristan Zoerb is running against Commissioner Kirby Vining. Vining is known for years of protests trying to block development at McMillan Park. Vining’s group went so far as to try to get Republicans in Congress to block DC from developing it. wamu.org/story/21/10/...

Friends of McMillan Park has also tried to get Republicans in Congress to step in, a tactic that depends on the ability of federal lawmakers to intervene in local D.C. affairs - generally a major frustration of statehood advocates.

Lisa Rucker doesn't appear to be raising money for her campaign so if you know anyone who lives in 1B05 (yellow on the map) encourage them to vote for Lisa and make 1B a less hostile place for other Commissioners.

Mr. Fedak also stated that Commissioner Kensek claimed to work with ABRA and that he would get the establishment in trouble with ABRA if they didn’t allow him to stay and drink.

Commissioner Kensek called the bar manager of Nellie’s multiple times,
threatening staff, and claimed that he “didn’t want to make trouble for them,” insinuating that he would use his power as an ANC Commissioner to make it difficult to acquire the necessary ABRA licenses.

Alan Kensek is also known for his harassment of female colleagues on ANC 1B. His behavior is so horrible his commission censured him.

DDOT Tops block party permit form asks "are you applying 15 business days prior to the event taking place?" Seems simple, but the form also says you must submit it at least 20 days in advance. Is this asking whether you are submitting 15- 19 days in advance & not on time, or 15+ days? #dcgovux

DDOT Tops program makes you input an address with quadrant and then makes you select the Ward. Why not simplify this and have it figure out the Ward from the address the user enters. #dcgovux

Fast forward and CM Brooke Pinto who chairs the Judiciary and Public Safety Committee with 911 oversight introduced the Secure DC legislation to mandate public reporting of 911 mistakes and corrective action. The only problem is that 911 has chosen not report all mistakes.
