It’s a quieter town, closer to some of his aunts if he ever needed help. However the small town life turns into a sort of nightmare for him, as everyone already knows eachother, and he stands out like a sore thumb. Even if people don’t recognize him. I think he eventually meets someone else+

Lapin primarily lives off of financial aid from the government. He has a very supportive family though, but he struggles to connect with them and be around them after everything. He moves across the country after everything happens, in an effort to start fresh.

I think in his therapy journey, he is pushed to try and accept his body for what it is. I think it leads to a sort of exploration/discovery phase. And kink becomes a way for him to engage with his body in a more positive/empowering way.

Some people are very weary about those with VE. But it’s significantly less common. Having already been put through the wringer for 10 years, lapin is completely shut down. He eventually takes to the internet as a way of peering into the outside world.

During these early days, there is still stigmatism towards people with VE. There are a lot of unknowns and people are scared. It could happen to anyone. Word spreads that it’s contagious (it’s not) and that creates even more panic. The initial panic eventually decreases, but even to this day +

It takes about 2-3 years for treatments to become more sophisticated. He spent a long time in facilities being worked on. And when he finally was put on a treatment plan that worked for him, the damage had already been done, and he becomes a complete recluse.

Oc ramble because I am at work and so so bored Decided that timeline wise, lapin will be “patient zero”. Or at the very least amongst the first few people to be afflicted with it. There was some pretty significant fear from the public when VE started showing up
