I've never seen anything quite as horrifying as my cleaning sponge infested with drain fly larvae. And I have seen some horrifying things. Possibly expect some worm art in the near future as an attempt to get over this.

The 2026 reference sheet for Hollow. Its name is carved into the wood of a desk, to the right of a manilla folder labeled, “not deer.” Paper-clipped to the folder is a hastily scribbled note sheet. The bullet points read,
“Creature appears to act like a normal deer most of the time.
Film capture turns grainy and distorted around its body.
Revered by a small cult under the name, “Hallow.” Currently unclear if this is its original name.”
Beneath this is a small pile of blurry polaroid photos. On top is a picture of lunging jaws demonstrating Hollow’s blackened fangs and flesh, curling an equally black forked tongue. It’s labelled “Dark Maw,” and dated June 2012. The next photo is of the deer creature standing stone-still in the center of a dark country road, illuminated only by idle headlights and its own bright green eyes. This one is labeled, “Eye Glow,” followed by a warily speculative, “under stress?” It’s dated October 2020. Contents of the final photo are near impossible to decipher; there are hints of antler, teeth, and a swarm of eyes before the rest of its form is lost to film corruption.
To the right is a mock-up of the beast being studied. Hollow, in outward shape, appears to be a 4-point white-tailed deer. Peculiarly, it stands on its hind legs— as if, in the moment, it was mimicking a human. Waves of analog static distort its green fur, further obscuring its already subtle skeleton-like markings. Its eyes are that of an unpredictable animal.
