Look, I know publishing is a business and they want to make money, but I'm sure there are tons of amazing books out there by midlist or debut authors that would be massively successful with the marketing we know this book is going to get.

Writer friends! The AI-generated email scams targeting authors are getting more sophisticated. I got one today w/ a real editor's name on it, which could be very convincing to someone who doesn't know how actual editors communicate, so I annotated it to highlight red flags. Spread the word, ok?
