Maybe Trump should’ve thought it through (ha!) before ditching Cornyn for Ken Paxton. Because while I don’t place faith in any single poll, I DO look at them holistically to determine if they reflect a trend. And in Texas, they are regularly starting to favor Talarico Texas. Is. In. Play.

Every year on Independence Day, I watch the brilliant 1972 movie version of '1776'. I know it by heart. This year, interpreting it in light of the current political climate, I find myself in tears as I listen to the arguments for and against tyranny, and realize they are still pertinent today.
