For a long time I thought America's pumpkin spiced latte was pumpkin flavored latte which sounded bizarre to me but whatever. It's only a few years ago I learnt it is latte made with spices typically used in pumpkin pie. A garam masala/ ras el hanout of sorts

It's pumpkin spice latte season in the northern hemisphere and only a few years ago I found out that the lattes are not pumpkin flavoured but spices that would go into a pumpkin pie eg nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon. American garam masala if you will
