This is not exactly a Christmas movie, but its depiction of a woman struggling to survive in a dehumanised worplace in the service of rampant consumerism, set against the kindness and decency of the people she encounters in the outside world, holds out some hope of redemption. Highly recommended.

It does address the horrors capitalism. But also the small acts of kindness, sharing a meal, understanding when she can't pay the bill, helping a stranger in the street.... Humanity shows through in even the most deprived circumstances. In that way it can be viewed as an uplifting film.. brilliant

Lucky for the tractor drivers they weren't objecting to the continued burning of fossil fuels leading to environmental degradation, natural disasters, weather extremes, food insecurity, economic disruption, conflict, and terrorism. Still can't quite see how an ambulance would get through though.
